actually i just found it and it did have the click squares, thank you for the help. for the months i have been searching for this game i never thought of googleing "game similar to battleship but with helicopters" and sure enough, the first game to pop up was the one i was looking for.

Battleship http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/battleship/index.html Rather than simply relying on nostalgia to sell games, Hasbro develops, tweaks, adds, and replots the game until you have not only the standard Battleship, but also World Domination mode, air warfare, naval warfare, helicopters to fly, islands to defend, oil rigs to protect, and enemy submarines to torpedo. Some great visuals accompany an intuitive interface and suddenly the game of childhood afternoons becomes the one of I-really-should-be-working adult afternoons. This is a strategic, real-time wargame, and one thoughtful enough to include both host and guest CDs so you'll always be able to attack your friends.

Search bar approved - found things similar about what you miss IN games, but not actual games.

Now I'm doing this because you're all the knowledgable sorts on games (I'd like to think so anyway), therefore it would make sense to come here.

Anyways, I remember playing this old, old JRPG/RPG where you ran round a city and into forests etc. The colours were seriously bright, like grass was acid green. Near the start, you'd pop out to the forest and fight worms mostly for the start of it. Seriously can't remember the name of it, any help would be appreciated on what game this is :)

If anyone else has this similar problem, post them in this thread - somebody in the community is bound to know what game you're talking about :)

Hello everyone!
My game was running under win95/98.
It was a 3D ball game, where you have to shoot the other teams balls with your own, like in a billiard game. There were a lot of levels, with different outlook. The speciality of this game was that every ball had heartpoints which were withdrawn on impact. There were more type of balls, similar to chess figures. King was slow, but have a lot of health, and other type units, with other abilites. I can clearly remember that the two teams color were purple and yellow.
Anyone has any idea? :)

There is this old computer game I can;t think of. It played it around about..between 93'-96'. It reminds me of COmmand and Conquer but it was completely 3D and of course, made your army and sent them places, but the difference, you could click on ONE of the soldier's, vehicles, etc. and control them completly; when they fired, which way they were going, it basically became a 3rd person or Cockpit style game from it's RTS style. You could even move your main base by clicking it and moving into the clockpit view of it.. Any help? I've been searching for about a month and can;t find anything
Warzone 2100[/quote]

Not it, the whole taking over a single unit I mean literally, pick one out and you get a whole new set of controls. Like if you took over a ground fighter, it went into First person, you used awds to move, another button to fire, another to reload. You could toggle in and out from one unit to the entire army you are sending out. You could do this with everything.

Does anyone recall a pc turned based game in which I remember this one section that takes place in an old medical asylum. It's deserted and in one area you connect wires to a brain and it speaks, or something like that. It's dirty and rusty white tiled place and I seem to recall looking out a retangular window and seeing snow. It's spooky with weird noises like electrical lights burning out and wind. Sound familiar?

I need help from this thread once again! Does any one remember what I am about to describe. It was a racing arcade machine and it took a picture of your face and put it above your car while you were racing. One of the tracks was a forest with a big bend made out of wood were you could fall off the track if you were going to fast.

Another track may of been a fun fare type thing?

Also while you were racing there were other cars on the track that were not in the race themselves but were just obstacles.

1000 internets to the person that helps me identify this game!

Dear god I've lost sleep trying to find out the name of a pc game I used to play as a kid. Never got anywhere in it because I found it scary and I didn't really know english back then. I hardly remember anything except that it was a 3d adventure or perhaps survival horror game. It begins with you riding up to a bridge leading to a medieval town. You get off the horse and walk over the bridge and then the bridge collapses.

The town is deserted and almost silent hill -ish. I remember there is a church and if you go to the belltower there is a priest who will talk to you and then kill himself by jumping down. You can walk around and enter houses. In one house there is a minotaur thingy that kills you, in one screen there is a faun that plays a lute (and then kills you). In another screen there are kobolds that drag you away (presumably to kill you).

I can't remember this game that was on either 64, PS1, or some other older, but not too old, platform. The main setting of the game was in a mall, and there were people everywhere. The game had a voice that would say, "Smash the corporations." The game was extremely simple, and the object was to just run around and destroy the mall and shoot off all the feds that kept trying to stop you. And at certain points in the game you could get a bonus that would give you no penalty for civilian kills. You could just walk around with a mini gun and mow everyone down. I've searched everywhere on the net trying to find this game!

It was on the SNES, I think. It was a two player hack and slash in which you control either a big brawly loin cloth man with a sword, or big brawly loin cloth man with an axe. All I can remember is the first level, where you exit a castle gate and pass a hay bale in a wagon.
Sadly, that's all I can remember.

Guys you have to really really help me please. I have been searching those games for years and I have found nothing even close to them. Its a playstation 1 game and I played them both on demos.

The first one is a sort of fighting game, in the demo you could chose between a dude that had the power of fire and a chick that had the power of ice. You would then play in an arena with a camera looking at you from above and sideways kinda cinematic like, where you had to use your combos to launch magic attacks to the other player. I also remember that when you got really close you could only fight with kicks and punches and the camera turned to a normal fighting game one. Anyone know which game this is?

The other one was in the future or something and you had a policeman who used a sort of mech that turned from a battle mech in 2 legs to a police car. I also remember that there was a multiplayer one that you had the same mech thingy and you had a level and a base, and your goal was to "create" various small little vehicles that would help you go and destroy the enemies base. I dont remember much sorry but it was a long time ago and I only played them in demos. PLease help!

No, it was one a lot less popular than that. Which is probably why I can't find it, come to think of it.

Wasn't King Of Dragons was it?

Or Knights Of The Round, although it doesn't sound like it.
