Games you can't remember, but still miss - describe them.

Okay here goes, I've been looking for this game now for about 7 years. It's probably a late 1990's PC game. From what I can remember, you start off the game viewing a cutscene of you and your lover/wife in a bedchamber. She is a black lady if I remember right. Then you walk around a bit, and then our character gets.. I want to say poisoned, but I'm not sure how it happens, and he turns into a hideous monster type thing. You trust the doctor I think & he tells you you have to escape. You're trying to run away out of a place I can only describe as a sacred temple of light. No one recognises you and they all try to attack. A bit I remember is coming down this sort of dock like (wooden slats, crates everywhere, workers all about) pathway to a central place and getting down the next path along was really hard because a group of guys dressed in white were there. It's pretty intense. I think there are themes of corruption in the game but I only really remember the opening.
I don't really think that's enough to go on, and being a still avid pc gamer and never having run into it again I'm not holding much hope, but here's trying.

I can't remember exactly (been a long time) but some of this sounds suspiciously like Lands Of Lore 2 : Guardians of Destiny

I actually got chills when I read the title! Thank you so much! That is exactly the game that I was thinking of. I can't wait to find out if I can find a way to relive the glory on my new PC

I was wondering if anybody ever played the game CONQUEST for MS-DOS - wasn't much to that game... a strategic map - lots of pretty colors - and numbers in each state that represented armies. It was turn based.

NES had a game that was somewhat similar - the map was of the UK and it had armies and they attacked other provinces on that same map. Wasn't much to it. Brown was the dominate color of the game. Can anybody tell me what the name of it was...

Ok there was a free (or at leas mostly free) online game where you played as a frog (I believe) in a kind of turret thing. The aim of the game was to use a limited number of shots to hit targets, which would normally be behind walls. Hence you had to bounce your shots around corners to hit the targets.

I swear the frog's name was Ric O'Shea or similar, but I've searched google with no result.

Hello I dunno where else to go with this because I don't really remember very many details about the game, however a few pathetic searches and I luckily stumbled upon this thread. Anyway here goes what little information about the game I can remember;

It was a point and click adventure game.

There were two characters that you would play as throughout the game, these were a blonde heroine type who at one point in the game has all her hair burnt off and you have to get her a blonde wig from the wig sales men.
The other character was this odd crocodile/ reptile man which I don't really remember much about at all.

I remember the intro of the game had this thing where the characters were either pulled from other dimensions or from another time.

However I was quite young when I last played this and unfortunately I can't remember much more, however it did have full voice acting and 2.5 type graphics. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

This was an Arcade game at the local pool. You would play as this big muscular white man and it was a side scrolling beat em up. All I remember is beating people up with a pipe and eating turkey I found on the ground for health.

That sounds an awful lot like Streets of Rage to me.

I'm trying to remember the name of a computer flash game where you choose a magic clan to be and have to rank up in that clan. I remember there being a poisen clan, a water-healing clan, and 2 different fire clans where one was black fire. Then at one point, the head mage guy who was the leader of all the clans got assasinated. Does anyone know the name of this game?

My game is a SNES Activision game... I've been trying to track it down but have no luck finding the title (this is probably because the seven year old me was convinced the game was actually caled activision but there we go!)

You're etiher a red or blue fighter ship thing (A bit like the hydra from San Andreas) and you fly over what seems to be a forest, then helicopters and little planes and whatnot fly towards you and start shooting and (depending on your ship colour) you shoot Red/Blue flames back at them!

You also have homing missiles sometimes that you can hit them with... at the end of each level you fight a massive ship and have to blow each compartment up separately before it 'dies'

Oh - and if you're playing 2-player mode (red and blue ships together) if you press a button they both stick together...

There only tends to be one track playing throughout the game and it's repeated over and over and generally will never leave your memory - 12 years on and I still remember the tune!

Any help?
