Dragon Age 2 - raped by its junior writers, especially the hambeast (the woman now notorious for saying that she hates playing videogames); Anders Cullen "I love you, but I'll hurt you, I can't control myself, but I love you, but I'll hurt you, but I..." was her work.
Wait... are you talking about Sheryl Chee? I want sources on her hating video games. O_O

EDIT: No wait.. I found it. Her name is Jennifer Hepler and holy crap. >.<

And FF XII couldn't have been that bad, my friend but in over 200 hours on that game, but couldn't even finish FF XIII because Hope is such a pisshead.
I quite liked Final Fantasy XII but I see where you're coming from with FFXIII. I could seriously not stand that guys constant complaining, plus the gameplay didn't appeal to me, just seemed like a mediocre game covered in pretty little fireworks.

Too Human.

You make a game based on Norse mythology (Possibly the most awesome religion ever), put it on the future and make everything cybernetic and futuristic and make the combat in a similar way to Devil May Cry.

You have to try to screw that up, and after a 8-10 year development cycle, they had plenty of time to do just that.

Definitely Spore. It was hyped up to be something much more than it was. The early stages are still fun, but I was soooo disappointed with the game as a whole. The gameplay was far too watery and simplified... So much wasted potential =(

I've been increasingly disappointed with EA in general, actually. The Sims 3 was a let-down for me. Even if only for a few picky reasons.

And I tried the Darkspore beta... also disappointing, although I wasn't expecting much to begin with. It just didn't wow me.

You mean Hambeast Hamburger Helper.

Isn't she just awful? A devout Twilight fan (obviously, just look at her), who makes no bones about the fact that she drew inspiration for her work on DA2 from Stepheny Meyer's notorious crime against literature-- I mean, how utterly devoid of talent, imagination, originality and dignity do you have to be to go poking around Nurgle's proverbial word-latrine for ideas?

She writes at a sub-fanfiction par and doesn't even have the common courtesy to apologise and resign when she is personally slammed for her overwhelming, staggering, enormous professional shortcomings, and also the fact that she wanders around in the daytime without a thick hood as deep and labyrinthine as Tzeentch the Changer's arsehole. *breathes*

Now, I say all that... I suppose she's also a ray of light and hope.

I mean, if someone that unspeakably dreadful can get a writing position at Bioware, on one of their triple A titles, then any of us and even some of our pet dogs probably have a shot as well. There's your silver lining mister Savber.

PS: Pardon the Warhammer references. I can't help it any more.

Braid, when i heard that it was going to be a mix of prince of persia mechanics with portal (original) quality puzzles i was excited. I was sorely disappointed.

Do you have a link to that? xD And the Twilight thing?

No need to be THAT harsh. Basing that she's a Twilight fan simply by her looks is stupid and I need sources that she drew inspiration from Twilight.

But I am looking over what she did in the Dragon Age series and noticed that she also wrote (what I thought) the worst/most annoying questline in Dragon Age: Origins (Anvil quest) although Caradin was pretty sweet.

In Dragon Age 2, she wrote Anders, Bethany, Leandra, Elthina, Cullen, and Sebastian Vael. Big MEH from me.

Final Fantasy XII. All I'm going to say was that it just wasn't fun. At all.
This is a great shout.
Possibly the moment where I lost all my enthusiasm for the series. One of the least enjoyable games I've ever played.

Very easily the archliar Peter Molyneux's games.
Black and White, Fable 1 and 2, etc. etc.
He made huge claims on paper that he never added to the games.

Half a year later he would say: "We DID make real trees for Fable 1 that grow in real time as the game progresses. Burn or cut one down and it will have an impact on the world of the future!!! And I told you it would be in there. And it was in, untill we noticed it took 60% of all of the XBOX's CPU power to just manage the trees."

Dear Peter just "forgot" to mention the fact that the feature had been cut out of the game untill everyone bought it. And that's just one of many points over many games, where he makes boldfaced claims in media that hype his stuff up till they resemble the Hindenburg. Then it turns out he was "misinterpreted" or "misunderstood" or the "feature was sadly removed because of ....".
