In general, I respect PC gaming, but I'm not a fan of "tank" like controls. I like the old school arcade style where it feels like your character isn't stuck to the middle of the screen. Unfortunately, most FPS suffer from this, as do games like Two Worlds 2, which is a decent game, but gets tired after a few weeks. If you're going to have combat, I need Ninja Gaiden, or Bayonetta, or Urban Reign. I like feeling nimble. Batman Arkham games were also more my speed. Many PC games or PC games ported to consoles have that tank thing that becomes boring to me after a while.
So a more complete list of games that I respect but can't get into:
Final Fantasy
Halo, Gears, Killzone, Farcry, etc
Dark Souls/Demon Souls
Resident Evil - I'm not a horror fan but those are def good games.
Bioshock - again, great game, but I'm not a horror fan
I'm way old school. I see the value in FPS, but I have strange taste. Local multiplayer significantly changes my opinion of FPS. It's the single player campaigns that have to offer something different enough in order for me to play. So Just Cause 2 and Zeno Clash Ultimate.
Oh and the game that I absolutely can't stand, and don't respect would be Skyrim. I see the open world gameplay, and the modifications that you can make, but it's so frustrating. I rented it, and hated it. Skyrim is the only game that frustates me to the point that I don't respect it. There you go OP, new thread.
