OP: Bioshock. Very well made, but it just doesn't catch my attention.
Ah, I concur. Also, Burnout: Paradise. Good game, it just isn't Burnout.

Mass Effect, I didn't like how you had all the party members within the first hour, most of whom instantly just showed up with no real introduction, the combat was undeniably crap, the story seemed kind of meh and everything had a really busy, curvy, LED lit and bland design to it, from the guns to the buildings.

Oh yeah chalk up another Final Fantasy, add a Bioshock, and online multiplayer games, all of them... Except, except maybe EVE, being an old Elite junkie I can see the appeal in that.

Resident Evil 4 sticks out to me. By all means it`s the best survival horror game I`ve played.

I`m just not into survival horror.

The entire MMO genre. I just can't get into playing online because of the generous amount of proof out there of the Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory. Ditto any game that relies heavily on multiplayer at the expense of a good SP campaign.

Just about any game that's console-only. I'm a PC gamer. Such is life. Exception? Loved Grand Theft Auto (3, VC, SA) on the PS2 and I've got a major soft spot for Japanese SRPGs (Fire Emblem, FFTA2, Disgaea) on the DS. Also, sports belong on consoles---they're just too glitchy on PC.

Really, my tastes run so far to the obscure that the overwhelming majority of "mainstream" games will pass by unnoticed and ignored.

Fallout 3. The game was just so... boring, and the graphics were just so... BORING. All I cared for about that game was sneaking around Megaton stealing plates and silverware.

TF2, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Half Life 1 and 2, the KoTOR games...yup.
then what do you like?usually people atleast like one of these games
now the game i just can't get into is halo it's story is rushed so much, the idea of controlling a soldier with super armor is just old :crysis, bioshock 2(not half life it revolutionized the idea of controlling a soldier with super armor) the guns in halo look a lot like sex toys more then guns(i know that those are alien guns but seriously) the aliens are some cheap copies of predators and the aliens from the movie alien the level design makes me freaking puke and the sound effects my god the sound effects just oh my freaking god the hall singleplayer campaign is just nothing then pew pew , it's just so boring i wished that they could remove shields for the aliens so that i could get over with this crappy game although the first halo was original and fun but he second and third were just so damn boring it was like mass effect without any combat(i know there was only combat but it made me think that it was more boring then the diplomacy in mass effect)

A good example is Yahtzee's dislike of Starcraft II- he doesn't badmouth the game, but rather states that he just can't get into it. So, fellow Escapists, what games get you surprised looks and cries of blasphemy when you tell your friends you don't like them?
Do take into account that Yahtzee isn't a real reviewer. He just tries to bring the funnies, not really give an opinion of a game.

I didn't really like Stalker. Can't really put my finger on 'why' exactly, but it just didn't appeal to me.

I also just thought games like GTA and (more recently) Red Dead Redemption. I always play the games, enjoy the for a time, and about halfway through I simply can't bring myself to try anymore.

Final Fantasy 12 made me sad but i'm fine with all the other games.

I'm also not the biggest fan of Halo and Modern Warfare 2 though I really liked the first Modern Warfare.

Finally Half-Life and Portal. Both Half-Life games bored me and I still don't understand why people all freak out about how awesome Portal is. I consider it a merely ok puzzle platformer that spawned a terrible, terrible meme.
