Toejam & Earl (the original).

Nobody else I knew had it, and boy did it make an impression. I've rarely seen a game that could draw as much fascination as that game, could back in the day. It was really ahead of it's time.

Majesty. Nobody i have met even knows what it is, and i tell them that is awesome in data form. Really its such a good game.
Really was fun, also great if you felt lazy because the game managed itself for the most part, course I have no idea how you beat the hardest stage type with the hardest random spawns with 10k gold, just seems impossible when u have next to no influence over your characters actions without a hefty bounty.

On Topic: Disgaea, I've been in three different community's over the past 5 years and I can count the amount of people who even heard of it (let alone had any idea what it was) on my left hand, and it would still be true if I lost my middle finger because I flipped one of them off for not knowing and that person was drunk with hedge clippers.

Got a new one, Universe at War: Earth Assault, a GREAT RTS, it was possibly the first RTS in the longest time that had 3 factions you could play as that where damn near TOTALLY DIVERSE. One race specialized in mobile commands, one specialized in fast travel via stealthed transmission networks, and one generated matter and could switch between two different states of existence. All RTS's in the world need to take note of this game, granted the mobile command race is OP as hell because their command structures just need to walk on anything including expensive structures in other peoples bases to destroy the hell out of them, but it had a real physics attack process, no dice rolling or luck based things, if the shot it, it hit, if it didn't hit, it didn't turn around for another go it missed. That and the complete diversity between the races was amazing, they didn't even harvest the same materials except for one type that overlapped for two of them but that is easily forgiven.

Whenever I bring Tropico into a conversation, anyone listening hasn't got a clue what I'm talking about.
And (BIG fucking shame) nobody I know has ever heard of Max Payne. Seriously?

The bouncer for the ps2. At the time the game was amazing, a fighting adventure game.

Red Ninja: End of Honour

It's a good thing no-one else had it, it sucked.
It had its faults, but it wasnt THAT bad. Aquired taste maybe...
Wow, finally someone else who played it!

It was the controls that drove me nuts. They were so damn broken and fiddly... especially the wall running mechanic.

And the camera was a ***** too!
True, but on the other hand it had some interesting ideas which i'd like to see more in stealth games, like the fact you could seduce people, then rip their eyes out muwahaha
Yeah, the main weapon was a clever mechanic too... fire a line into a dude and pull it out, ripping him in half... that was cool.

But Jesus, that Goddamn Buddha temple... haunts my nerd nightmares
Ugh, don't get me started on that.

What about the crazy lady boss in the lightning?
Yes! That took me 3 hours to do on easy mode.

Also horrific...

The timed chase up through the elevated plaforms and streets

The three wall runs in a row with traps

The motherfucking camera trying to focus on Kunenai's knickers all the time instead of pointing in the direction of the jumps

Sunset Riders for the SNES. That was good times. But it's damn hard to find these days and no one I know remembers it.
Basically A konami sidescrolling arcade cowboy shooter yeeha!
YES! I absolutely loved Sunset Riders, and it's just not the same playing it on an emulator...

OT: EVO, really awesome really fun game on the SNES where you start out as a fish and evolve your way up to mammal and even human if you wanted to. Never talked to anyone else who had played it for some reason.

I've got a copy of Steel Battalion (Xbox), I don't know of anyone that has a copy, but that might be due to the retail price for the game being $200 US.

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 2017 (XBox360)- An amazingly fun (especially with a friend) shooter that lets you go ape on waves of giant alien robots, giant spiders, giant ants, giant dinosaurs, giant cyborg dinosaurs and of course, alien ships... all being taken down by a single (or two) dude(s) with a swivel hip of epic proportions and ever upgrading weaponry. Cheap, relatively unknown and completely awesome. There's also a versus mode, three levels of difficulty for all missions and it's a steal for like, $10.

THE UNIT (Xbox360)- Very fun and entertaining third person war game, where you take control of one of three characters, lead a platoon of 4 guys into battle, calling down support in the form of turrets, vehicles, replacement troops, etc, on the fly, with the points you acquire through defeating targets or capturing objectives. You also improve your characters individual specialized weapons as you advance. Also co-op, so you and a friend can split screen them evil Nazi's.
wasn't the second one call The Outfit? God that game was fun with two players

An old flight Sim called Silent Thunder. Not bad but never completed it because I was seven at the time.

And the Burger King games.

i have never met anyone elce who has played it or owned it
I played it, finished it... Honestly... It was fairly generic and even as a functional shooter, it was a piece of shit.
Seconded.

Spelunky for me. It's free on the computer BTW.

Killer7 was pretty unknown where I live, as was Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. When I was about 10, I was the only kid I knew who ever played Castlevania- Symphony of the Night.
