I'm the only person I've ever known or even heard about that bought Steel Batallion. With good reason. I mean the simulator portion was pretty sweet but the game they wrapped around it was just AWFUL.

i have never met anyone elce who has played it or owned it
I bught it a couple of months ago, its fun but gets old quick for me.

I'd have to go with R.A.D for the PS2, Robot Alchemic Drive. Very interesting concept, and very fun to boot. But the voice acting was HORRENDUS, and is still made fun of in X-Play from time time time.

Has anyone played Project EDEN? Early ps2 game? No? Okay, well you missed out. weird scifi 3rd person shooter with heavy environmental puzzle elements, focusing on your squad of four, each with their own different skill sets and abilities (you could switch between them on the fly, the action was forgiving enough to make this not too bad). That alone made it a pretty neat game, but throw in jump-in jump-out splitscreen co-op with up to four players, and that game makes the top ten games of all time for me.

It's sorta like a 3d multiplayer lost vikings. In the future.

Shattered Union for the Xbox. I don't know anyone who bought that game. I made the mistake of buying it so now it just collects dust somewhere in my room.

It was a turn-based shooter... kind of like a console version of Advance Wars. But Advance Wars is a lot better.

ZOE2 for PS2, apparently it was pretty rare because when I went to trade it in every store clerk was surprised I had a copy, got some pretty good prices for it too. (UK btw)

Same situatio with Ico w/ original cardboard case. This one, which I think was the american version, still worked though:

Whenever I bring Tropico into a conversation, anyone listening hasn't got a clue what I'm talking about.
And (BIG fucking shame) nobody I know has ever heard of Max Payne. Seriously?
It's because they remember the half-movie that the series was based on. Then they cry at night.

I haven't played Tropico but at least saw it. How was it?

Breakdown for the Xbox. It was a first person game that had shooting, melee, and Dragon Ball Z style fighting. It had some control issues but it's still a fun and pretty unique game.

Majesty. Nobody i have met even knows what it is, and i tell them that is awesome in data form. Really its such a good game.
Indeed a truly great game. The AI could be pretty frustrating when there's a dragon rampaging through your city and all your heroes are too busy down at the pub to bother with the titanic killing monster 20 feet away.
Thats why i always insist on having dwarves. Thank god for Ballista towers.

I am one of two Armored Core fans in my area. There used to be three of us, but one moved out-of-state.

With his move I'm also the only one who's ever heard of Star Ocean or Ico. It's a shame really.

Sunset Riders for the SNES. That was good times. But it's damn hard to find these days and no one I know remembers it.
Basically A konami sidescrolling arcade cowboy shooter yeeha!
Must have some friends with some interesting choices, that game is kinda like UN squadron. Really found its popularity as the system was going out. More popular now then it probably ever was when released, but hardly scarce, so you can still usually find the carts for around $10.

I remember Lethal Enforcers, everyone wanted it, hardly anyone had it. The game had the whole mature audience stigma to it in a time when the average gamer audience was still much younger then it is now. It was all about the cool guns, which drove the price up to the level most people where not willing to shell out for.
