Dragon Age: Origins.

Since it's one of the worst mapped out games ever. Having not realized till after the fact that despite having an open-ended progression there's really a "right" and "wrong" way to go through the game on any significant difficulty, and not being interested at all at taking the "gimmicky" approach I just set it to easy.

Any RTS just to get the feel of it.

I'm seeing Halo:CE a lot here. Just rush it with a shotgun, or spam frag and plasma grenades, retreat and rush with the shotgun!

i only recently started playing all games on normal.but the game i did switch back was oblivion mainly because i was sick of quicksaving every nanoseconde because i was sick of having to sidestep the enemies attacks and because every cave was a nightmare full of ogres who killed me in a few hits. the overleveling thing nearly ruined the game i am sorry but i hate having to care where my skill points go in or else get killed fast thats not what i see as fun its yust enoying and pulls me out of the game.
i also usaly play all rts on easy for my firsht run.

Metal Arms: Glitch In The System
On Hard, even the mooks can easily kill you if you're not carefull.
The game does not beat around the bush. One of the levels has you kill super zombie robots [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DKFYAcDuxc]. Hard to kill and fast.

I can't remember any specifically, but I'm sure I have. I player Half Life 2 on easy the first time through but it was my time playing through an FPS... ever.

Devil May Cry 3. That game gave me nightmares and emotionally scarred me until I was able to repress it with the help of the release of the special edition.

Dj Max: Emotional Sense Fever 2.

My hand-eye coordination isn't the best. So, naturally, I'd have to put it on easy.

Persona 4.

Still got my ass kicked by the first Shadow Boss about 8 times.

It has a fire attack and one of your allies is WEAK to fire, if you dont block it gets 2 hits and probably kills that party member and the main character who if they die gives you a game over.

Chie makes up for that for having the godly Galactic Punt though.

Dead Space. The whole game.

Halo: CE
specifically because of one section where two grunts with rockets and a sword-wielding elite kept appearing in a narrow hallway and removed my limbs.
I could do it in normal, but the jump between normal and heroic in that game was monumental. Assault on the Control Room was a great level tho. I loved that one.
You're my new best friend! Would you like some fresh baked cookies?
Yes Please!

Oh! And also all fighting games. Im really, really bad at them, so i have to play on easy to stand a chance at all.

GoW: Chains of Olympus. Got all the way to the final boss then I had to give up and switch to normal.

Also, Gears of War. Damn you Raam DAMN YOU
Sniper and the cross bow head shots will beat him before he can even reach you. You will need a friend though
I already beat him, but I still had to switch to easy.

So I'm playing Metro 2033. If that isn't reason enough, I'm on a laptop, so my framerate hits 5 FPS every time an actor appears onscreen. I had to crank the difficulty down like mad.

So, what game have you had to admit defeat to and lower the difficulty on?

The non-hardware related example I have is the final battle in vanilla Oblivion. No spoilers from me, but man, I've yet to figure out how to do it on regular difficulty.
near the ending of that game... one of the levels pissed me off, I turned down the difficulty to Easy and it was still annoying...

Devil May Cry 3.

I knew it was hard, but there was no easy option so i went with normal. Loaded it up, and the first boss kicked the crap out of me 6 or 7 times and then a screen pops up "Easy Mode has been unlocked". I couldn't do anything but laugh.
