I bought fallout 3, loaned it to a friend who turned out to be an ass, he sold it to get red dead redemption. I'm still contemplating rebuying it.
that's an dick move, to say the least.
You think that's bad? The very next week he went bitching to everybody about how much he hated Red Dead Redemption and that it was a waste of money. (I haven't played it, but I've heard good things. Plus if it annoys him, then it's a win in my book.)
why you even bother talking to such a prick?

I don't anymore, now he just tries to annoy the hell out of me, and since the reach ending got leaked on youtube, he and another friend (who also turned out to be a complete douche) made the mistake of watching it, ruining the ending for themselves and are now trying to drag me down with them. Now I have to basically run in the other direction when I see them, until I can get on reach this tuesday.

Resident Evil 5. My friend bought the Xbox Resident Evil 5 bundle and it didn't work. I gave him my copy and bought the Resident Evil 5 Gold edition.

Tales of Vesperia, the disc got scratched and I had troubles getting past one point and I decided I really needed to get throguh that game at least once, cause it's too awesome to quit.

I been thinking about rebuying Saints Row 2 for the Xbox because I got the PC version and the PC version doesn't have the extra stuff, and it wouldn't be boring to play it again.

I can only think of GTA: San Andreas and Tony Hawk's Underground right now.

Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2. I'm kind of tempted to buy KoTOR 1, 2, and Jade Empire for PC of of Steam. I would have also bought Halo CE on Steam if the bastards sold it.

Unless it's a game I just really really hated I never return or trade in my games, so luckily I don't have that problem.

But yes I've bought Chrono Trigger at least three times and probably purchased the entire Final Fantasy series up to FF VI at least two times over in each repackaged re-release of these games that Square produces.

Other than that, I know I bought a replacement copy of Xenogears because my disc got scratched up.

I never sold a game I bought. However I've bought one game twice: Resident Evil 4 for both Game Cube and Wii.

Silent Hill 3. Because I lost the old copy.

And Modern Warfare 2. Not because I like it that much, but because I got tired of it, then met some people who played it, who I wanted to play with. I can play and enjoy most things, if I can have a nice chat while I do it.

I've re-bought the 360 version of Oblivion twice, and I bought the PC version.
This is almost exactly what I was going to type. I bought the 360 version of Oblivion twice (Collectors edition, normal edition) and I just recently bought it through Steam.

Final Fantasy IX, so I could play it on the PSP. I recently got a new, large LCD TV, and my disc version of FFIX looks HORRENDOUS on it - I can't stand to look at it to be honest.

But I badly wanted to play it again, so I got it on PSN and played it on my PSP. On the small screen, the image isn't blown-up so it looks just as I remembered it.

But apart from that, no. Luckily enough, I've never had a game die on me, so I've never really had much need to buy a game twice.

Now that I think about it, I rebought quite a lot:

- Fable: Lost Chapters (liked the original and wanted to experience the whole story)

- Second Sight (after selling it I realized how good it actually was)

- Thief 1 (I love this game so much, I had to get the Gold Edition)

- Diablo 2, Lord of Destruction, Warcraft 3 & Frozen Throne (never got them back after lending them)

- World of Warcraft (got... err... banned...)

- Anachronox & American McGee's Alice (the 2nd CD of both broke :( )

- Halo 1 & 2 (bought the UK version because the dubbing in my country's version makes your ears vomit)

- Loom (took forever to get the Enhanced CD Version)

RC's Revenge. I think that's what it was called anyway. Some racing game with RC cars that was a buttload of fun.

Played it for a while, got bored, traded it in, bought it again, remembered why I traded it in before, traded it in again.
And I regret it so... I don't think it was even that good, I just loved it anyway.
RC Revenge Pro! The PS2 game, yes? The one with the different themed levels (pirate, jungle, horror, space etc.) and the bubble weapons and the lightning and the rockets?!

I spent days on that...
If we're both talking about a game that had some tracks that let you turn into a boat, then yes, I meant RC Revenge Pro.
Gran Turismo may have magnificent graphics, but graphics can't replace the joy of watching the little antenna freak out every time you turn a corner.
When did Mario Kart come out? They were basically the same, weren't they...

Ah, here we are.
