Stopped playing Metroid Prime 2 cause I lost patience fighting the Chykka Adult boss. The same thing happened at the end boss in Gears of War.

It almost happened for God of War 2 as well... the pathetic QUE at the end of the game had me tearing my hair out. I eventually got it but there was no sense of satisfaction by the time I beat it. It made me feel kinda stupid for putting so much effort into a game to get a few minutes of cut-scene.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary. You'd think there'd be at least some reasons to play it, but there's something about it that makes me not play the game. In fact, I've never beaten any Tomb Raider game. I had the first and second installments when I was younger, but I never beat those either.

Other ones that pop to mind are Rome: Total War and any after that. At least never to Major Victory. Only TW game I've won as a Major Victory is Medieval (1) as Italy. It was really a race against time; I kept buying/bribing provinces with my massive income to avoid having to fight 10 long battles per turn. So I basically bought my way towards east while my western empire was about to explode in a mess of rebels, usurpers, popes and surviving heirs of vanquished factions.

Fallout 3. I get sidetracked by the billion sidequests and get bored before I reach the end of it >.< Which is sad, because it's really enjoyable for a while.

Fallout 3, I always got depressed at the game's Story. And slightly bored. I've played it 3 times and end at various points.

Far Cry 2, After I get all the weapons I want, I just can't continue, 3 times I figured out the mortar is completely crap after wanting it the whole game. What other FPS game gives you a mortar!

Red Faction: I loved it but my brother beat it before me and I lost interest REALLY fast.

There are more but I can't remember them.

The only game I've picked up and not beaten, but play constantly, is TES Oblivion. When the next elder scrolls game comes out I'll probably beat oblivion purely out of a guilty feeling like stringing your lover along with plenty of foreplay but never actually finishing them off.

btw. never do that.

I never finished FF-X... it just kept going... plus i got into that plane thing, and saved over my old file, then went outside to that boss battle against some dragon thing... it was just generally better than me, and so my only options were to grind against stuff i could find (i think i remember stuff on the ship to fight against...) or just try to kill it and hope i get lucky, it missing or something.

Final Fantasy XIII seems to be one of the rare games I never finish. Hope is pretty much useless in any situation and the story is way to linear. Plus, the combat is boring and repetitive.

fallout 3,
i just cant bring myself to finish it
You're not missing anything. Just make it up to right before the ending and leave it there. :p Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, just not the ending.

On topic, I have left a lot of games unfinished. Not because they're bad, but because I've found something else to play or do and, erm, forgotten about them. Dead Space for one. I will finish it one day. >.>

Most games it's not that i can't finish more like i'm lazy to finish, I have a very long list and it keeps adding up because i try to get every tripleA game that comes out. AAA games that i havent finished but own: Assassain's Creed 1 and 2, L4D2, COD MW2, Dragon Age Origins, Mirrors edge, and Battlefeild Bad company 1.

The new Wolfenstein, I forced myself to play through the entire game only to quit on the final level.

I had taken enough of that shoddy excuse for a game.

- Dragon Age Origins: Why does everyone love it? I hated it! Took it back after playing it once.
- The Saboteur - Looks good but I couldn't bring myself to go back to it, so dull!
- F.E.A.R. - Honestly? Dull and repetative gameplay, NOT scary and couldn't understand the story through the stupid unbalance of the sound and audio logs on stupid laptops arggh!
- Most of the original PS1 Tomb Raider games, usually get stuck or bored.
- Resident Evil Survivor, urgh!
- Dead Rising, the stupid save system. I need to save like every 5 seconds on games like that!
- The Suffering: Ties that bind, too much like the original, just lost interest.
- Sherlock Holves Vs Jack The Ripper, OMG BORING and looks like a PS2 game!
- MOH: Airbourne, why do I even bother with WW2 shooters any more?
- LOTR: Conquest, truly awful game. Nothing good about it at all.
- TC's EndWar, RTSs just aren't for me it would seem.
- Saints Row, not a patch on GTA's humour.

Games I did finish but wished I hadn't bothered:

- CB's Jericho, why?
- F.E.A.R. 2, I was determined to like it, as a result, I did not.
- Condemned 2, wtf was up with the story?
- Halo Wars, I still don't like RTSs!
- Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, boring and mostly awful.
- Silent Hill: Homecoming, a diabolical game, a mere shadow of the games before it.

I'm sure these lists are not exhaustive!

Borderlands. Practically non-existent story, nothing special about the combat, becomes extremely repetitive and grind...y. I traded it in (along with 2 other games) at Gamestop to get Heavy Rain for $1.53
Nice deal. OT, I Wanna Be the Guy. The Guy is the hardest boss EVER. No exceptions.
