halo, FF and GTA:CTW

halo: well i dont have a 360 but my friends speak highly of it so i do play it when am round theirs and i really cant see what all the fuss was about i think fans have given it so much hype that newcomers think itll be amazing but then it turns out to be mediocre.

FF: again my friends talk alot about it and i have yet to play it im thinkin of gettin FFVII on the psn and have a good sit down with it but i feel like it will go the same way as halo.

GTA:CTW: im a huge fan on the GTA series havnt missed a single full game and i got a ds primarily for it but i just cant get into it yet, maybe its because i havnt really gone travelling yet and when the ds version vs the ps3 version i kinda go towards my ps3

but we shall see the last 2 al try get into i have kinda given up on halo sorry 360 fanboys

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
started with high difficulty.. seems quite a challange, but the side missions are damn confusing with the reputation loses with factions..like when i killed 100 enemies for them and didnt deliver some grenades, my rep with them was a bit under neutral ... >.>

There's been about 4 of these in the past week or so. Please try to enjoy the Search Button.

For me I want to enjoy Mass Effect but can't, because of the combat.
Did... did you just tell off Hey Joe? BLASPHEMER! Thou shalt not attack the Hey Joe, as he is awesome. It's the eleventh commandment.

AS for me, the list is long.

FarCry 2
Mass Effect
Rise Of The Argonauts
and my biggest sadness - Oblivion.

I got it about a year ago, when I first got an Xbox. I played it for a few hours, and never played it again. It just... felt really clinical and unimmersive. In my first "proper" quest, once the opening was done, the person accompanying got stuck on a small, ineffectual shrub.

Have me quarantined from the rest of the gaming community, but I never could get into Half-Life 2.

FFXII. I'm a devoted FF fan, but they murdered the battle system that made it so fun (imo, I like turn based battles), the story is a pile of crap, again unlike the previous ones, and the music is nowhere near is good, probably because Nobuo Uematsu saw how bad it was going to be and ran far far away before he had to compose for it.

Other than that, Halo 3. I love online multiplayer, but I've started and quit the main storyline about 4 times now (I've only ever gotten as far as the highway level). To me it's just boring and repetitive.

FFXII and FFX-2. the charicters are just not that intresting and the story isn't that engaging. towards the end i really just didn't even care what happened to any one in the games.

Neverwinter Nights... i dunno why, i love diablo, dungen siege and other games that are exactly identical to it... i just couldn't hook on to it for some reason.

Demigod. my friends swear by it, but i just find it meah.

Agreed. I find Half-Life 2 to be boring.
I found it a great game at the time, but it is definately over-rated. Granted, this is true of anything decent, if you don't get into it before people start talking about it, you'll find yourself deeply dissapointed when it falls short of expectations. Besides, I think the first Half-Life is better (though most people seem to disagree).

A game I could never get into: Bioshock. I own it, I started to play it, but then I just set it down, and haven't played it since. I blame the fact that I bought it for the Xbox, even though I can't stand the controller.

For a game that I did get for my PC: Farcry 2. I played it for a few days, then just got really bored of it (I blame the respawning enemies. They don't belong in a FPS)

Any game that insists that I wear the miniature, colorized guitar that comes with it.
You can use a normal controller. I am much better with that than the special one. I like how people are amazed by it though, since it LOOKS complicated.

FPS games. No matter how much I try, I can't help but feel nauseous whenever I play the game for too long. I want to get into, but I can't manipulate my weaknesses to cease. The 180 degree or any turning involved in FPS are what makes me sick.

The only tolerable First Person View I can handle is a scope view from a sniper or any gun. Thats why I pretty much play Third Person Shooters with optional First Person Scopes.

Add me to the list of GTA non-conformists. I bought the 2 pack of GTA3 + Vice City, and I never did anything but cruise around the city listening to the radio and picking up hot bitches. The missions felt stale and boring to me.
