Games that made me want to take a nail gun to the face? Well, difficulty wouldn't make me want to do something THAT drastic, if I was forced to play a marathon of shitty Disney movie spin-offs Perhaps, anyway back on topic.
Super Mario Sunshine's stages where they take F.L.U.D.D. away, especially the one with the hotel full of ghosts and the pinball one. I saw so many game overs after attempting them.

The original Killzone - I got to about the final quarter or so, and there were no exciting changes of pace or interesting plot development. Just repetitive gunfight after repetitive gunfight. So I just gave up.

Sonic Unleashed - Due to Sun Medals and Werehog levels.

The original Ninja Gaiden - Do I even have to give an explanation for this one?

NES or XBOX ninja gaiden? I beat the NES version after monstrous torture.

As for my one game I just couldn't beat... ...fuck you Lolo 3, just fuck you.

NES.

I picked up Ninja Gaiden Sigma a while ago, and haven't been able to make much headway with it either. But the original NES version will always hold a special little place in my heart as the game that made me swear more than I thought possible in the space of 2 hours.

Yeah, NG in the NES was hard but doable. But Lolo 3 on the other hand...I'm sure that game was designed in a top japanese secret military lab, with the single intent of making the homo sapiens lose love for life once in contact with the "game".

Call me crazy, but I'm sure the thing is their revenge for WWII, and with the dissemination of the internet and the rom and emulator craze, they're one step closer to their master plan.

I'm just saying...

Or then again, maybe I'm just butthurt.

The controls were awful, and I had no idea what to do next. I do wish I could've seen the ending, but for a game that bad, it probably wasn't worth it.
From what I remember I loved this game, but I remember just not knowing what to do at one point and eventually giving up, but damn that game had some strange design. I think I'll rummage for the cartridge now.

I'm finding the last few levels of Prototype to be extremely difficult.

Ok, infiltrate that enemy base. The one surrounded by alarms. And toxic gases. And the dozens of soldiers. Did we mention super soldiers? And the perimeter has mini-gun turrets. And surrounding those turrets are tanks. And there's that rogue helicopter flying around the sky. He'll call 3 more helicopters for back-up if you are detected. And more UAV alarms. Oh, and when you finally are in the military base, you are going to need to BLOW UP the 8 toxic gas emitors. So I hope you don't mind losing your disguises.

...

The story missions can go fuck themselves...

And this is only the first part to the mission...

AND THERE ARE 2 MORE TO GO AFTER IT!
That mission's easy, just remember you don't have to destroy them all in one go, run in nick a tank, blow up some of the machine things, then run away and regenerate your health, then just repeat with blowing the crap out of the place with helicopters/tanks until your done.

Have to agree. This maybe old but the game I couldn't beat was a bruce lee fighting game on the megadrive (can't remember what it's called). I couldn't get past the second level.

Chaos Legion (too damn hard)

Dead Rising (too damn hard)

Viewtiful Joe 2 (too damn hard)

Shinobi (too damn hard from being too damn broken)

Summoner 2 (lost interest)

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (missed two health upgrades, and after hours and hours of trying to find them, I lost interest)

Final Fantasy VIII (lost interest)

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (lost interest)

Any RTS I've ever played (not my cup of tea)

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny (didn't have enough time to complete it, as it was a rental)

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (so damn repetitive, I lost interest)

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (gaming computer stopped working)

Vampire: The Masquerade: Redemption (too damn hard)

And I'm sure there are more. As you can see, my list is practically a resume of my gaming inadequacies.

This. Though not really because it was boring, more because it felt like they had made a real effort to make the game frustratingly unplayable.

Urgh, brings back bad memories...
