I've hated the Final Fantasies made by Squeenix, but even though I've heard nothing but bad things about XIII, and I know it's probably bad from playing their others, I still want to play it. Not sure why. It looks different to XI and XII, and Squeenix's shitty remakes of the originals, I guess. But I guess if I ever do I can get these friggin' hopeful thoughts out of my head.
Vanquish is fantastic. One of the most underrated games this gen.Gorilla Gunk said:Bodycount

Vanquish
It came out in Japan in 2002 when they were still Squaresoft. It came out in the US in 2004, after the merger in 2003 that created Square Enix.JasonKaotic said:Eh? shshshs Vanquish has the best controls combat system in any 3rd person shooter i have ever played. the only thing bad about that game is that the story is a bit short and the last challenge is stupid hard. if you are interested in i definitely recommend at least renting it.Gorilla Gunk said:Bodycount

I have never heard of this and you have intrigued me. To youtube! (and failing that wikipedia)Dfskelleton said:Also, I have recently been enjoying (if one could put it that way) The You Testament. I've actually made it my goal to use the satanic fireball ability to murder the entire population of the game.
You can find the first part of a really good semi-LP here:darkcalling said:I have never heard of this and you have intrigued me. To youtube! Also, OP, Vanquish is actually pretty decent. It looks a bit repetitive, but it has some fun combat (once you get used to it, that is).
+1 For Damnation. That game sounded so good when the first bits of information were coming out.Amdor6 said:I'm still a bit tempted by Damnation (steampunk!) and Kane & Lynch 2 (merciless and often pointless killing!), though the more opinions I hear the more disinclined I feel, despite them being almost exactly the same.
This guy meant Daggerdale. Daggerfall was an Elder Scrolls game, and it was the shit.babinro said:D&D Daggerfall - everything is telling me it sucks...but my love for 4th Edition makes me want to try it out. One of these days I'll buy it dirt cheap off steam and be disappointed with all my other D&D nerds.
I mean D&D characters without racial or power choices? They totally nailed what players want, right?
