It's not really the outfit that bothers me the most. It's how she acts and how it feels like there is no reason for it. Sexism in art is a difficult thing to tackle. To me sexism is, like racism, using (true or untrue) stereotypes about a group to define individuals regardless of them having or not having those stereotypical traits.
That said, is Dragon's Crown sexist? I don't think so. It's caricatural and has sexual overtones but I did not experience it as being sexist. It is in no way shape or form a depiction of reality but rather of what ammounts to the sexual fantasy of the creator(s). I did not experience any pushing of an agenda or a disctinct message other than "I like the idea of ridiculously big tits bouncing around in ways, shapes and forms that reality does not allow". Wether or not you agree or disagree to the existence of such things it is within the realm of personal expression for that creator and it does not, imho, send out a negative message.
We as humans are as sexually reproductive apes an inherently sexual beings and our art logically reflects that. Sex in art is not a reflection of sex in life, but sex in the mind. When the art of someone with a lot of sex on the mind is consumed by someone who might have less sex on the mind or is culturally or personally predisposed to disliking certain aspects of sexuality there is a natural clash that could be considered the core of all claims of blatant sexism in art. Wether or not this is a negative and should be fought against is a matter of personal oppinion but imho there is no way to curtail art without curtailing the liberty of the person creating it while expressing yourself through art instead of action only infringes on the liberty of it's consumers sporadically and perhaps less so than the alternative expression through action.

I always felt like Dragon's Crown was simply taking fantasy archetypes to their logical extreme. The Knight with his ridiculous proportions and all encompassing armour, the athletic amazon (clearly modelled on Tyris Flare from Golden Axe), the muscular barbarian warrior (Conan), the elven archer/ranger, and the dwarfed axeman were all essentially the classic fantasy archetypes for their respective race/class etc. taken to the point of caricature. Were they sexy? Sure, but that was just one aspect of an extremely over the top set of designs.Dollabillyall said:

When it come to the speaking dialogues in Gotcha Force, it's best to mute it! You won't believed the amount of "mmmm" in it!
Vanquish, Devil May Cry 3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and every other action game made by Platinum and Team Ninja. They make great games that I love to play over and over, but the cutscenes and voice acting are always laughable.
A possible exception is Transformers Devastation, where the silly cutscenes actually help make it feel like a genuine Saturday morning cartoon.
I think I'll also add every good 90s game that had voice acting. The 90s was a bad time for voice acting.

Could you bring up more examples though? I can only think of the Russian lass from Advanced Warfare as an actual female character in COD, let alone any more female deaths. The disparity in gendered fatalities is of course to be expected given the context of the games, but I imagine that might be starting to change if BLOPS 3 is any indicator. Not that I particularly care you understand: I want COD to go back to WW2 from the Axis perspective, not indulge my anti-female murder-lust strike a bloody blow for equality.

Devil May Cry 3 wasn't done by Platinum/Clover Studios. That was one of Capcom's other in-house studios. The lead director of 2, 3, & 4 was Hideaki Itsuno. Platinum did work on the orginal DMC pre-Clover (called Team Little Devils). Besides, DMC 3 is not cringe worthy. That game had the best story and voice acting. The story knew when it was time to have fun and when to get serious without ruining the balance of either one. DMC1 had some cringe moments with the voice acting (DARK SOUL WITH LIIIIGHHHHT!), 2 was so fucking boring that it really wasn't worth cringing, 4 had a corny love story, and the DmC Reboot had so many embarrassing moments.
