Darkfall online. Kill people, take their stuff and they can even rage AT you. (No factions) People got a large stick up their ass about macroing skills up, but hey I did fine without doing it once. Hackers killed it for me though.

Deus Ex: Invisible War. Universal ammo and removal of skillpoints meant I could play as whatever the situation called for, I felt the originals areas were occasionally too big so I didn't mind so much that IWs were tiny. The plot was certainly disappointing but was good enough not to ruin the game for me.

Im aware this is an old thread but i was gonna post it myself but used the search ,"why you no search" Nazi's be proud. For me its Alpha Protocol buggy yes ,over burdened with some useless tech and game breaking mechanics maybe but i think it beats every modern polished Rpg like mass effect/ dragon age 2/Deus Ex (all of which i liked) in terms of leveling ,gaining exp and the clever system of gaining perks based on the choices you make. There were many things wrong with this game but it offered a rich world in which i felt my choices and dialogue options actually counted for something, my decisions actually did have consequences.Oh and timed dialogue gave it a real sense of flow.
