Final Fantasy XII.
Agreed. I was never really sure why this game got such a kick in the balls. I preferred it to X, though, so others might view me as some sort of demon's spawn.

Kirby's Dream Course, too. I'd always want to play that when my friends would come over, but they didn't find it as charming as I did. Although, we were all like...ten.

ET...just kidding. I liked the first 3D Castlevania game, made for the N64. You could play as either the girl with the rings, or the usual whip wielding guy. I have yet to find anyone else that liked the game.

I used to love Star Wars: Masters of the Teras Kasi

It was totally addicting, and I know it gets hammered for so-so controls and stuff, but none of it ever stopped me. I replayed that game so much, I could probably still remember each of the different characters winning round catch phrases.

Okage: Shadow King (quirky PS2 RPG that I actually think people would like if they'd heard of it) and most every new point and click adventure (Next Life, Belief and Betrayal, The Lost Crown, Culpa Innata etc etc.)

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass... so you had to go back to the same dungeon a few times? Does that really ruin a game?

Might and Magic VII. Yes, that's number seven. Those few who liked the series all seem to think that number six was the best of the lot, and I agree that it was an awful lot of fun. But seven added a more interesting skill advancement system and a more enjoyable story. I've repalyed it at least a half dozen times, though I can't seem to make it run on XP. Maybe when I get a new computer I'll try it on Linux VM-ware. It would be nice to go back and play it again.

Brace yourself: Madden 09. So many improvements over 08, but unfortunately, none of my fellow gaming nerds are into sports games.

I liked that game too. The main temple wasn't that bad at all if you remembered to make good notes.

I haven't met anyone else that liked Freshly Picked, Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. Maybe it's because everyone seem to hate Tingle in general.

Assassins Creed no one else I know seems to like it, and neither do many critics but I think its a top game, albeit a little repetitive.

These got critically panned but they really endeared themselves to me for some reason.
Big AGREE on Legend of Mana. I thought SaGa Frontier was just a giant mess, though.

Street Fighter EX3. Seriously, get over it being 3d, its actually very fun, plus it was my first introduction to a couple wacky characters like Area.

Oh, and Sonic Rush was extremely good, even better then the original Sonic games. You had a rather glorious return to 2d, just enough 3d graphics to look good, some awesome 3d boss battles that still captured the feel of the original games, and most people just lump it in with terrible Sonic games of recent memory.

Legend of Mana... I rented that game for a weekend four years ago, and I actually got caught in the middle of the night by my parents because I had sneaked to the basement to play before I had to return it. I have yet to find a copy of the damn thing, now that I have a job and can afford it...

Here's one. I adore that game, I found it to be dark and pretty atmospheric. Love the mansion level, the one with the garden laberinth and the chainsaw maniac; it's pretty scary for a Castlevania game you know.

I'm rather partial to Advent Rising. Sure it had problems, like the subtitles being out of sync with the dialogue, and it takes ages before the game really kicks in, but once you start getting your powers, it's really good fun to play, and it actually has an interesting storyline to it. A shame that it's one of those games that ends with a sequel in mind that it'll never get.
