Metro 2033. -snip-
That might be because Metro 2033 is unintuitive, has terrible level design, unclear objectives, and overall comes off as slightly pretentious.
But that's just my opinion, I could be in the wrong here.

Ah well. Everyone has their own opinions. I enjoyed it. I guess that's what matters, right? Enjoying the game? Although I do see your points. Hopefully they'll improve on that with the sequel? Pretty please 4A games?

I'm gonna stop now.

The Suikoden Series, always the Suikoden Series. Brilliant and severely under-appreciated and now a dead series in North America because of that, though the Core Series seems to be dead in Japan as well, dooming any future Suikoden Games to "side story" status.
Funnily enough I have originals of all of them except for 3 as it was never released in UK for some reason. Scarily 1,2,5 are worth a hella lot of cash now even used.....

Legend of legaia . Very few people has played that game . Only a handful ever talk about it .

Parasite eve. Love that game , too bad the sequel was changed into an action game instead of a rpg.
Legaia had an interesting interactive combat system and you're right, it doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. The setting was kind of spooky too really (good mood setting) what with the fog setting in slowly. Two looked okay although I'd like to see a modern reboot of this.

Star Control 2 (Ur Quan Masters) (PC)

Tetris Battle Gaiden (SNES)
it's basically Tetris where you can mess around with your oponent. A great partygame imho...

I came here specifically to talk about this one. A Three Game Trilogy that included open roaming across the galaxy, forming alliances with various alien races, all while nearly unbeatable and unknowable enemies tried to destroy all life..... and the third game sucked.

The Walking Dead game

It's barely mentioned at all, which makes me a sad taco

5 dollars per episode, NO excuse to at least try the first one

The story is phenomenal, and I don't gush about games. This is the one exception

harvest moon and animal crossing in general there's a lot to those series I have not seen any one talk about harvest moon and only a few metionings of animal crossing I mean i know the forum is clearly dominated by action based games but you think you would see a post on the cute girls of harvest moon or a strategy thread for either ...

Viewitful Joe pretty much my favorite game of all time, and Terraria a 2D minecraft that I found way more enjoyable then it's 3D counterpart.
Viewtiful Joe was absolutely amazing. Without a doubt one of my favourite games of all time that seems underappreciated.

Resonance of Fate. I really wish Yahtzee would do a review of it. It is not like other JRPGs. I could cosplay as the main characters and no one would be able to tell.
Does that game ever get...less grey looking? I just picked it up and started playing it due to a few recommendations. I kind of like it, but the perpetual muted colors and lack of interesting environments are really wearing on me. I'm just about finished with chapter 2 or 3. While I enjoy the character banter, the story doesn't really make sense yet and the gun-kata is getting redundant so I was hoping the visuals would help pick up the slack.
Nope. There are some variations with the scenery, like snow and garden themes, but the colors always remain muted. Though, it helps with the steampunk setting, especially with the clock gears in the background. If you want color, clothing customization is your best bet.

The story starts piecing itself together around the halfway point. Gun-kata, well they start using different animations as their level increases, dual-wielding becomes available around lvl 30, there are chapters where only two characters are available, gun customization really opens up and becomes incredibly important if you want to survive. Plus defeating bosses requires one to actually use strategy.

Valkyria Chronicles.
I would've loved to have seen some clones of that. A Warhammer 40k version would've been especially cool. Too bad Relic is probably not in a position to do anything risky right now.

Both Prototypes 1 and 2. It's one of my favorite series. I get to play as an unstoppable biological force that kills people and (especially in 2) I spout obscene one liners that don't even fit into the character at all. It's glorious.

inFAMOUS 2. It was overshadowed by the vastly inferior Duke Nukem: Forever at the time of its release, so I can see why it never really got its time to shine. I think Yahtzee's positive review of the game at least got it a bit more if the credit it deserves, IMO.
Playing it right now. So good.
