Most of the stuff I remember really fondly (and could still be called a child) is from the Genesis. The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog series, Primal Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco the Tides of Time. Some stuff is from my NES, like Contra, Mario, and Tetris. I think my mom worried about me spending so much time with Tetris... I recently found most of my old library; like seeing old friends again. And since I bought a new console for them they run better than they ever did.

as a kid the mario 3 was the best game ever actually any mario game on all the systems really. the first mario party was awesome too aside from those stupid mini games where you had to spin the joystick. i ruined a controler and burned a hole in the palm of my hand until my friends and i decided that we had to lose those ones on purpose for out controllers and our hands sake lol. Pokemon was good too red was my color

Duck hunt was mint! I also loved bionic commando, Sonic, Streets of rage.

Before my console days I loved Roland on the ropes, Karnov, Renegade and barbarian. Barbarian was years ahead of its time. You had to load them on cassette tapes which took forever. I thought my Amstrad was the dogs bollocks because it had a colour monitor.

Shining in the darkness followed by Shining Force made a massive impression on me. The games had so much charecter. I still get a semi when I think of Zylo. He was hardcore. My first experience of RPGs and I was sold. I hope the shining series will get a 360 remake. Online co-op where you each have a smaller force, 2 on 2 ranked death match. So many possibilities.

I could mention over 50 games but I will say Spectre because most of you won't know it but mainly cause it was one of the first 3D games and back then it was so epic.

Die by the Sword: Excellent action game, I played this until Return to Castle Wolfenstein came out, which gave me my first taste of online multiplayer, I played it obsessively until Call of duty came out, which, along with RTCW and Warcraft 3, basically meant pretty much every game I played as a child involved online multiplay.

My favorite game when i was a kid (which wasn't that long along ago since I'm 13) would have to be Street Fight 2 or the original DOOM

Asteroids still holds a place as my all-time favorite arcade game.

Metroid on the NES is my fave console game (though I played the hell out of Frostbite on the Atari 2600 when I was a bit younger.)

Current handheld fave goes to Geometry Wars: Galaxies on the Nintendo DS for being all the classic gaming goodness I loved but with a snazzy new look (and portability!) Recently picked up the Wii port, which looks gorgeous on the big screen.
