Lets see, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Twilight Princess, Okami, No More Heroes, Ocarina of Time, and Portal. All of them are games I play over and over and over again.

It's actually been a while since a game has made me fall in love with it right from the get-go; I suppose I'm just not as easily impressed as when I was a kid.

Actually, most of the recent games I've fallen in love with took a good amount of time, whereas the ones where I was impressed at the very first screen, I found myself slowly lose interest in. Kind of odd...

Jeez, i wish everyone would stop being so mainstream.

So time for something obscure-ish.

Fire Emblem, the first Gba one to be released in the UK. Even if the dialogue was horribly translated. I still loved it.

Demon's Souls.
Odd game to love instantly, especially when it was my initial death that made me smile and love it (I even said "Honey... I'm home," when it happened), but there it is.

Touhou Project (all of them). It's mostly the music (I don't even play the games when I get them. I just listen to the music for a few hours. Then I play).

Every Zelda game (except for, you know, the Cd-I ones).

Others.

Arkham Asylum, Halo CE, some Yu-Gi-Oh game on the gameboy advanced, Starwars Battlefront 1 and 2... Generally speaking, anything I've finished other than Half-Life 2. If it doesn't grab my attention right away I get bored and move on.

I actually hated Pokemon first try...

Tales of Symphonia and Guitar Hero 2 though, loved first time.

Yeah I'd have to go with Portal, COD4, KOTOR and on the rts front CnC3 and AOEII - any game that was made that long ago that still acts as a benchmark for future games as this does is instant win.

Final Fantasy X,and Xenosaga III. FFX for the instant story hook (WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!!?) and Xenosaga for just how it looked, and how there's a deep history behind it.
