Sounds like someone sucks at Mega Man.
Or he could think its a bad game. Some people don't like Halo.

Megaman X was the best in the series, but thats not saying much. The best game to come out of that era is Metroid 3 in my opinion, but YMMV.

Name any Resident Evil game other than 4. They don't age well at all. What really bothers me is that people constantly gave Tomb Raider (the first two are still pretty fun even today) crap about it's clunky controls but Resident Evil gets a pass. The things are nearly unplayable now.

ZetaSan: You might want to tone down agression. I see a ban in your near future.

I don't like to get involved in arguments over the internet, but sometimes, its just too much and I gotta participate.

Yeesh... a few flametards in this thread....Anyway before I get sucked into too, I'd have to say the game I'm most disappointed in going back to play now is Super Mario Land 2 for the original game boy. Used to love it and play it on family road trips all the time, picked it up and just couldn't get into it. Didn't feel like the same game I loved as a kid.

Amusing to me how this thread started a little over an hour ago and half the posts are a small flame war. (I'll put $5 on shatnershaman)

Anyway, another set of games that lost its luster for me is Hitman and Hitman 2. I absolutely love the Hitman series and still play Contracts and Blood Money to this day. But the other two are very glitchy, overly sensitive on the aggro/attention metre and the controls for the first game are rather sluggish. I still believe 2 is an improvement over the original, but both are very hard to play (control-wise) compared to the others.

The Final Fantasy games. I used to be so excited about the release of new titles in the series but now I hate most of them.

I'd have to say Civilisation 2. I downloaded it recently and found it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as I remembered, especially compared to more recent games.

I loved the first Digimon World game. Now I couldn't give a damn about it. Also Crash Bash, smacking Cortex around with crates does not sound fun anymore.

The Syphon Filter series has become very disenchanted for me. I used to love the first two games on the PS1, but now they just seem redundant and rather poorly done. Of course, they were smashing back in their time, but I just finished playing both and found myself feeling empty instead of nostalgic.
The new PSP Syphon Filters are pretty awesome, did you try those out?

The first 2 Halos....Sure they were okay at best but back then I never played Half Life 2, or any other FPS for that matter so I was drawn into it. Once I had played other FPS games both good (Half Life 2) and Bad (Area 51) I realized how mediocre the Halo series really was...

So your only reason for liking the game is being good at it? And people who don't like it suck at it? Why is this such a bad thing? When you play a new game, you obviously aren't going to be a pro, and getting frustrated at it means it doesn't let you get in to it and get good at it. Therefore, it is justly cast out as a bad game.

Also, looking your other posts, your only ways of dealing with critics is either insulting them or saying they make you angry. In other words, you'd make a terrible debater.

This only shows that he'd be a terrible debater if the results of the debate had no consequences and he could remain anonymous throughout. And if the effort put forth to create a long, reasoned response would be viewed immediately afterward as a complete waste of time.

Metal gear solid one was amazing, metal gear solid 2 though.. It was good when you was stopping terrorists blowing up a rig, by stopping bombs exploding, but after you get knocked out, the series plummets from there.
