Oooh, a long list for me.

Happens to me a lot when I play JRPGs; I get really into it, only to hit a wall and then almost immediately loose interest. It's usually from a particularly difficult boss I can't beat, and don't feel like going back to grinding levels, or I get lost somewhere and get sick of trying to get un-lost. This happened with Pokemon Diamond, Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest IX. Other than that, in no particular order:

Donkey Kong Country Returns

Zack and Wiki

Little King's Story

Zelda: Spirit Tracks

NOTE: I do intend to finish all these games one day. That day just hasn't come yet.

I'm somewhat ashamed to say Ratchet and Clank 2. And more recently Dark Souls. After about 20 hours, or a third of the way in, I kept getting invaded by other people and didn't have the skill to beat them on my own so once I'd used up all my humanities I wasn't able to summon others for help. I might go back to it some day but I have "to play" list that's about 20 games long and Dark Souls was just too slow paced so I felt that if I stayed at it I'd be there for ages before I actually finished it.

Harry Potter and the goblet of fire: It was just too awful. I would have finished it, if it'd just let me keep progressing through the levels, but it's one of those games where in order to unlock the next level, you have to keep going back to the previous levels to collect a certain amount of random shit. Fuck. That.

Timesplitters: 9 levels that don't have anything to do with each other or any kind of story, and I only ever beat 8.

XIII: No particular reason. In fact I liked that game. It had Adam West in it. If I ever find myself with a lack of games to play, I might give this one another shot.

Splinter cell: Got to the second level. Got stuck. Couldn't be bothered playing it anymore.

Marvel nemesis rise of the imperfects: I was on one of the very last levels, but I just got stuck. Not a very good game, but I might try again some day, because of how close I was to finishing it.

LotR the third age: Got a reasonable distance into it. Enemies started getting more powerful faster than I was levelling up. Ragequit.

Spider-man 3: Got too difficult. Wasn't enjoying it enough to try harder.

Tomb raider anniversary: Actually I quite liked this one aswell, and may revisit it at some point in the future.

For me it is never an issue with my time if I like a game i'm going through however there are some that I played constantly but never finished the campaign.
Battlefield 3 (over 150 hours MP but could never finish SP to boring and couldn't finish)
MW3 (1 hour total turned it off tried another half hour 3 games MP 2 with hackers just couldn't be bothered with this at all)

For a game I wish I hadn't finished of course Mass effect 3 finish on veteran first play through so brilliant wished I gave up after marauder shields
If I ever leave a game alone they are just not good enough and I never feel regrets for not doing them in the end its the makers fault for not making a better game.

Skyrim - just couldn't find the time for it and now i don't really want to for some reason.
Kingdoms of amalur - just not that interested.
Dirt 3 - just not as fun without a friend sitting by my side and making fun of my driving "skills".

*Dragon Age:eek:rigins. I only managed to get about 2 hours in, It was just really boring for me. The combat was boring (I only played a mage, that was probably the problem) and the story was not much better. At least for me.
That is the problem. I did the same thing first time I played. Mage is boring as shit. Try human Rogue. First couple of hours are really dull. You have to find strength to get over that long boring intro. After you recruit Morrigan it only gets better and better.

One of the games I never finished is "Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects". It's the most difficult game ever created. I think ancient Greece gods could have used this game to punish Sisyphus instead of making him push that damn rock. Jesus Christ!

2 Games I quit because I just didn't like them:
- FF 9
- FF 10-2 (rented and returned 2 hours later)

1 Game I quit because it was too hard:
- Dark Souls defeated me...though I still blame crappy controls/mechanics for that one. :p

1 Game I quit for reasons even I don't know:
- Halo 2. I was playing through the campaign. Did some drinking one night while playing through the campaign, got pretty close to the end. But after that night I just kinda.....didn't play it again. :p

Actually, instead of listing the dozens of games I never finished, I'll focus on one that I just refused to play further:

Fallout: New Vegas.

I dislike how you can't get one ending without completely betraying someone else. There is no "neutral" ground at all. My character went around being nice to literally everyone he came across (the only exception would be the powder gangers since I didn't have much choice), and with the case of Caesar's Legion I just straight up avoided them. But no matter what ending you choose, some faction completely falls apart while another one rules supreme, and I found that to be unfair.

Skyrim. I wonder what it says about a game when you save right before the final boss fight and never touch it again... Nothing good i'd wager.

Fallout New Vegas ruined Skyrim for me I think. I thought "Fallout did this better" far to many times during my playthrough. Why is there even a dialogue system whne nine times out of ten there's one one option?! It's the continue quest button!

And I have far too many games i've hardly touched. I can't decide which ones to play so I just go and play Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3... Again. I'm sitting in a lobby as I type this.

Actually doing well with Phoenix Wright today. He was getting instakilled all day yesterday.

Maybe i'll go play some of those Steam games I bought ages ago in an 85% off sale... Now I understand Valve's business stratagy, 'tis quite clever.

Skyrim. I just really don't think it's that good *runs and hides*

The first Half Life, just because I keep getting distracted by other games.

The original Deus Ex. I really want to play it through, but I had major problems looking past the graphics. I'm deeply ashamed of this.

I haven't finished a lot of games.

STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl is one that I want to finish, but whenever I start to play it, I just feel like playing something else.
