Halo 3.... *sigh* lackluster game, only played online once at a friends house, the rest of the time I was interacting with actual people with lives so i had no time for multiplayer.
right of course because everyone that plays online multiplayer often is a hopeless misanthrope with no social life *rolls eyes* jesus christ can attitudes like this just die already?

Baroque was the game I so much regret buying. But I didn't spend just 20? on it it wasn't that bad. Still, didn't like it.

Bioshock, it was not worth $5.
Haha, good one... Now seriously take that the fuck back right the fuck now.
Nope, Unlike most people I was able to see through the interesting setting and realize how shit the GAME part of the GAME was.
Ahhhh!!! It hurts!! Bioshock is one of my favourite games!! Oh well, each to their own, it depends what kind of thing you're looking for in a game; yeah the gameplay wasn't brilliant but that's only the tip of the iceberg when playing something that complex.
I'd say my biggest regret was buying Oblivion; I did the thing where you buy a game impulsively so everything's a surprise, but I ending up hating the setting, enemies, characters and pretty much everything else. I can't stand the whole Elf, Dwarf, Wizard scenario; there are so many cool things you can be with cool powers, so why go for pointy-eared lady-boy and a short bearded man? Wizards are cool though, I'll give you that. Also, I got terribly bored; I had no idea what I was meant to be doing, where I was meant to be going, the controls pissed me off and when I forget what the story was because I've been spending too much time wandering around looking for things to do, I officially stop playing because unless I'm having lots of fun, I don't play if I can't see the point in doing so.

Once again civility and understanding have won the day.

WET, it was a fun game, but much too short and the ending completely ruined everything about it. Also Golden Axe: Beast Rider, such a SLOW game, in every aspect in that short time I was playing it. And the latest King of Fighters, I know fighting games aren't generally very deep but this one was so incredibly shallow!
LOLWUT?
The only reason I can think of for thinking that is counting shitty licensed anime games like the Naruto and DB games as fighters.

Shadow the Hedgehog is the only game I've ever sold back, so thats the biggest.
The most recent is Dragon Quest 9, I'm just not getting in to it.

The Temple of Elemental Evil. I'll jump on the "summary of experience" bandwagon:
1:"Ooh, a DnD game... well, I never get to play DnD, and I love Baldur's Gate and Torment, let's give this one a try. It's only $10, anyway."
2:"Hmmm... doesn't want to work. Okay, got it to work."
3:"Wow! This opening movie is pretty cool!"
4:"Wow! This 'opening vignette' is really boring! *CRASH*"
5:"Generic fantasy medieval dialogue? Didn't we move past that a couple decades ago?"
6:"Town too big...map has no markers...dialogue so insipid...Screw sidequests, let's go kill things! *CRASH*"
7."Cohorts take part of the loot, don't sell excess, and you can't choose what loot to give them? Could they have implemented this system any worse?"
8."Huh. Giant frogs are surprisingly difficult. *CRASH*"
9."This frequent crashing is getting on my nerves. *CRASH*"
9."F this game! I've got better ways to waste my time! *CRASH*"

I am actually replaying the game after 5 years, hoping to beat it so I can stop thinking about it forever.

Gears of War- DX10 was nice, can't save an abysmal game though, and an entire game about hiding behind stuff? Seriously? Only Micro$uck could try to sell one tiny aspect of a game and their horde of mindless zombies can't wait for more. Thankfully it was $4 at Zellers.
Thanks for calling me a mindless zombie...I guess? I love Gears of War.

Anyway.

Two worlds for reasons that have already been stated many time before.

Gothic 3 forsaken gods. It was a stand alone expansion made by a different company. God damn it that was the biggest piece of shit ever. Cost me 30$ too. Could have done way better with that money.

Guitar Hero 5
Two decent songs and two awesome DLC tracks was just awful.
The track imports were a fucking piss-take as well.
But... I'm still gearing up for Warriors of Rock... I don't get me, sometimes....

I'm sure you've already recieved a lot of crap for these comments, but here's some more anyway. Bioshock was the only shooting game on 360 that wasn't complete generic bullcrap. How can you say the GAME part of the GAME was bad? It was the only FPS that even had a GAME. Walking around a sunken city looking for gene modifications that grant you new, powerful, diverse, and creative abilities that grant you access to new parts of the city is a bad GAME? Defeating hulking metallic monsters to recieve material that let's you empower and modify your character in a way that suits your prefered play style is a bad GAME? Discovering secret passages and fragments of civilization that give you more of a glimpse into the cities past and how it fell is a bad GAME? What exactly are you talking about? It had the exact same camera and controls as Halo, combined with an almost Metroid style exploration and progression mechanic. I agree with the notion that a game's story and setting are vastly less important than the gameplay and controls, but Bioshock was brilliant in nearly everything it. Are you trying to start something, or are you just retarded?
Well I've explained many times before, but here I go again. Incredibly poor hit detection, if you can even call it that. I've consistently seen crossbow bolts phase through enemy heads. This doesn't mix well with basics mooks being able to take more hits than an M1Abrams tank, resulting in every firefight costing half my ammo from every gun; a commodity that's in such short supply that I'm amazed a civil war could ever take place. I was almost always out of ammo, not trying to scrounge up enough to get by but just out, comletely, only leaving the wrench as a viable option, and this is despite looting everything I saw, making more, and even pulling it out of my ass (I'm pretty sure that last one was a glitch). You ever been forced to beat an elite bouncer to death. And I know what your going to say so stop right there, what about plasmids? the things the game's based around? Well yes I suppose I should've used those to save ammo, oh wait, I tried that, they were fucking useless. The ones that are supposed to cause damage do virtually no damage, and the ones that distract just don't. You'd think being engulfed in flames would be cause for alarm, but no the enemies are perfectly content to keep shooting while they patiently await the flames to go out, I guess they realize they really aren't that dangerous considering how little damage they do. The fact is that everything about how the game plays is broken, which is why the vita chambers were implemented. The developers knew the game was a task in masochism so they added them in to make the game winnable without actually fixing its problems. This is why the game sucks. Setting and atmosphere are the only things the game does well. Everything else sucks.

Monster hunter tri- wow just wow, I try so hard to like you but you suck.

TooHuman- Me and a friend played this for nearly a day and realized holy shit its been all the same crap goblin things for hours.

Pokemon Snap- played it at a friends, sold lemonade to buy it, beat it in 2 hours.

AMF bowling- sucks as a game and at life

ff13- Im letting the shit that was the narrowhallways clear my mind now that I am at the open section

COD3- no one ever played it then it went to hell

dot hack- three of the games in and I just can't get over the fact that deep down its like trying to play ff8 and having to buy each disk separate.

Turok- lets be honest here I bought you because I thought I could sell you to my freind for a quick 40 bucks in the dmc4 bundle.

DMC 4- shorter than hell for a dmc game.

gotta stop getting used games I think will be worth it at low low prices

Not everyone can appreciate the artistic value and atmosphere of some games, everyone is flawed in some way... thats why we are all special.

Demigod - it looked awesome on first glance :p The back read: "A god has fallen! Now you must fight to take his place" - Action filled RPG with stunning graphic.
*Me thinking "Sounds awesome!! Action RPG with gods and everything* happy face*

It turned out to be .... Dota :p and it wasn't cheap..

The topic explains it all. Which game you bought that you hated and considered a waste of your money?

Mine was Just Cause. The damn game was terrible in every way.

My first thread, yay!
Congrats on your first thread doing reasonably well, my first thread bombed :( Anyway, I regret buying Frontlines Fuel of War (I think that is what it was called). The game was truly terrible.

Societies.. To this day i still do not accept it as part of the Simcity series. Awfull game when you are used to the complexity of Simcity 4 (It was IMPOSSIBLE to not make a good city! no matter what, it would end up working somehow, even if you had no water or elektricity. damn you Maxis -.-)

Red Dead Redemption - Must admit I was busy with work so I didn't have any time to invest in it.
Dragon Rising - Just found it really boring, a shame; it could have been much better.
Wasn't too keen on ODST either but I'm enjoying Reach so far.
