Games you regret buying

My two big ones are Fable 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

Peter Molyneux is so full of shit... sure, Fable 2 has multiplayer, but it sucks so hard I don't even know why you would bother playing it. And somehow, the game ended up not being as good as the first, even though it seems like it would be. Very disappointed.

Modern Warfare 2... despite being a hugely popular game, I must profess outright hatred for this title. It's games like this that will define what kind of titles come out in the future (MOH...) and thus this game will affect gaming a lot more than I'd like. The single player was bearable, but the multiplayer is an unbalanced mess of shit that succeeds at nothing else besides raising my blood pressure... unless I load a cheap pack up (OMA with noob tube, for example). Then the game is so piss easy it's not worth playing.

To top it all off, I ended up getting Bad Company 2 later, and BC2 is GREAT. It does very well at capturing a cinematic and intense feel for all combat. It's such a blast to play, the community is better (on PC anyway...) and it has much better balance. Don't get me wrong, it has issues as well, but the game has steadily gotten better since launch and I am quite happy with it. And to think I only paid $30 for it, as opposed to $55 for MW2. I'll never buy a game over $50 again after that clusterfuck of a title.

God of War III (Weakest ending ever)
Record of Agarest War (Terribly boring and broken gameplay)
Final Fantasy XIII (I don't feel a need to explain myself...)
Modern Warfare 2 (Multiplayer induced wayyyyyyyy too much rage and hate from me)

I agree. MW2 was oversold by tons of people but at least, the single player was decent. BC2 was a lot better in terms of realism and all out war-ish atmosphere.

BURNOUT REVENGE!

Call me an evil pretentious prick, but I was turned off from the game the moment I found out there were no drivers for the cars....Cars that crash into humongous pile ups and explode.

You're telling me there are no people whatsoever in this game driving or innocent bystandards that get caught in my horrible wreck/race?!?

FCK THIS GAME!!!!

Sold it the next day.
So the reason you sold the game is that people don't get graphically maimed and dismembered every time you crash?

Why not just go back and play Carmageddon, or even GTA then?

Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Easily the worst in the series in my opinion, a huge disappointment since I really enjoyed the previous installements (except Chronicles, not very good either). Good thing it didn't cost much, found it from a bargain bin

Doubt anyone remembers this one but True Crime 2. The first True Crime was simply amazing; over the top action, fun car shootouts, random missions to keep the action up, the greatest gunplay I've seen in a game before or since, and some of the funniest dialog until mass effect 2. The second was total garbage that I really regret not selling after I got it as a gift. The controls handled like a tank with broken treads, the city was dark and depressing to be in, and the inventory system was so bad I actually think the one in Mass effect is better. It was nothing but I giant mistake in my opinion.

On a side note my brother bought Shadow of the Colossus and actually HATED it and wished he returned it. Even I still can't figure out how that's possible since I played it and loved it. (Never beat the last boss though)

You have some very questionable memories of True Crime.

I think I speak for anybody who was a fan of the movies, but I regret buying the new Ghostbusters game for the 360.

FFXIII.

Traded in Saints Row 2, BFBC2 and Little Big Planet for it, which made it even worse.

True. I wanted to play the game for the dialogue, but the horrid gameplay made sure that was never going to happen.

Legendary, Monster Madness, Farcry 2 and Terminator: War of the Machines. Some companies get away with murder when it comes to releasing half finished ports of games on PC like these.
