Dante's Inferno. All that hype. And when I got to play it the only reason I finished it was because I felt I had to find SOMETHING redeeming about this game. But no, I never found ANYTHING good about it. It was God of War with a terrible story and lackluster enemies and level design. I would've liked it as a budget title though if Beatrice WASN'T FUCKING THE DEVIL! The whole queen of hell thing really ticked me off, and Beatrice got with the devil willingly to get back with Dante. She was supposed to be incorruptible according to the book, but here she's way out of character. Lust, wrath, and heresy in one body, SCREWING the DEVIL and choosing to become the QUEEN OF HELL to GET BACK AT DANTE!!! I liked Dante's quest of redemption to face all the sins he committed in physical form. I hated how the enemies didn't stay in their circle. Lust should've had nothing but lust monsters, greed should've had nothing but greed monsters, etc. And this is a minor annoyance, a nitpick really, but humans don't become demons in Christian lore, evil angels do. And humans do not become angels. They become ghosts. Until they get resurrected.
I promptly sold this game as soon as I beat it. I won't be playing this game again unless I decide to review it.
