Even though most of us have been gaming all of our lives, there is at least one game for each person that no matter how hard they try, it kicks their ass. Whether it be the legendary game that will make you cry because it was so hard or the mainstream game that you cannot grasp no matter what.

That game for me is the Orange Box. I LOVED this game but no matter what I did i could not even be decent at Team Fortress OR Half Life 2. I think this is mainly due to my late introduction to gaming. I have grown up with auto aim and recharging health meters. So just jumping into half life 2 was a little difficult and after SEVERAL hours of it, I still felt like I hadn't gotten the hang of things. It wasn't that i died constantly, it was that my ammo was constantly running low. Maybe I am so used to being an unstoppable killing machine that is able to carry around an armory that I thought i was playing the game wrong when I was not destroying everything in sight even though that is how the game is intended to be played. And don't even get me started on the TF2. I might have been better if I closed my eyes while playing that game. It was embarassing when I was playing with my friends and I more deaths than all of our teams kills combined. Terrible just terrible.

Street Fighter (And every other fighting type game)
I love those games to death despite the fact that I often resort to Button Mashing within the first 5 minutes. I've got a friend who's damned good at SF though, so he can help me out every now and then...

Anything where I have to play against people. I can kick computer ass on the highest levels of difficulty but other people I always have trouble defeating.

That being said, I have known a lot of glitchers and spammers...

Modern Warfare on multiplayer, other shooters as well probably.

I don't have the 'twitch' to really compete with most people and this is also aggravated by me being a PC gamer at heart who only really tolerates console controllers by virtue of necessity.

I feel the same way, playing through Half-Life 2 gave me trouble due to the lack of ammo. I haven't got very far but I'm already terrified of using the machine-gun due to the amount it sucks up.

Other games I suck at but still play: Devil May Cry 3. I WILL BEAT YOU! I WILL BEAT YOU!

Call of Duty 2 mutliplayer. Though to be fair, I sometimes have a crowning moment of awesome. Like the time I didn't spot a guy trying to shoot me in the back, but I got him before it was too late.

You know I think this happens to every average level FPS gamer: you hit that wonderful kill streak, and it feels like you are at the top of the world. Then someone wastes you, and you spend the next half an hour trying to maintain your 1/1 kill-death ratio. I think it comes down to the other guy having an "off" day, which basically means the playing field is leveled for a few fractions of a second - just enough for the Average Joe to draw down on the Chart Leader.

Most FPS, I simply dont have the reaction time or eye han cordination. But sometimes I get a good streak and I almost seems to predict the enemys movement and I kick rearends like a god. And its for those moments I play.
Also Rockband, especially the drums but guitar aswell. I have a hard time controlling my fingers induvidually.

I really like real time strategy games and god-sims (like sim-city and black and white) but I completely suck at them. I run out of money and resources and, in the case of Black and White, I get annoyed at my whining followers and waste them all.

I pretty much suck at RPG's but I love them. There is no way that I am ever gonna be able to beat Dragon Age or Witcher on any other difficulty except easy :(

Lol, I know that feeling.. hearing "we need *whatever*" every 5 seconds annoys me to no end.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. At the three-quarter point, the difficulty curve became a difficulty point and the game just kept kicking my arse.

The DOOM series. I'm afraid to take one step without God Mode on, but I turn it up to Ultraviolent to compensate.
