As has been said a lot now, Spore, it started off with a good idea. Then it just went down and continued until it crashed into the ground and then just kept going to the depths of hell to become the Spore we all know and hate... and no, I wasn't actually following it much, So I wouldn't hype it up and it still was horrible.

Lol, not really. I was dissappointed by Banjo-Kazooie: N&B as well as every MMO ever. Also, hate to say it, but Genre Wars was a let down for me. Plus, I thought Too Human was good.

Fable 2, it was fun and all, but, well, nah.

Condemned 2, I couldn't get very far because half an hour in and I just decided, that, well, no, I don't want to get into the goo shit, why are weapons deteriorating now, what. The. Fuck.

Sonic Heroes, I know, I know, it's just that I really liked Sonic Adventure 2 and thought the next game would be awsome. It wasn't.

Advance Wars Duel Strike, I loved Black Hole Rising, you got to be each different nation (except for black hole) and they all had a unique look. All you get in Dual Strike was orange and while the core gameplay was unchanged having to deal with two battles in each mission pissed me off because it favoured an umbrella strategy and didn't give way to the advanced thought that one faction gives you.

DC: Soulstorm, the changes made to the campaign pissed me off to no end. My Imp guard can't even break on to the second planet.

The Witcher, do not really want a MMORPG.

I'm going to have even greater nightmares because I'm going to play all the way through it after I'm done if a few other games. It'll sure as hell be a blast.

Icewind Dale & Psychonauts.

I was expecting ID to be more like Baldur's Gate. I thought being able to create all of your traveling companions would be awesome, but it so was not.

PSychonauts...I went back & forth between bored & wanting to pull my hair out & break shit with that game.

Oh yes, & all of the expansions for Neverwinter Nights 2 except Mask of the Betrayer. You can't settle for storyless Heroes Of Might & Magic gameplay in Neverwinter 2 when you were a zombie pirate who fought a war underwater in Neverwinter 1.

far cry 2, ARMA 2, all the halo games.

Far cry 2 had so much promise, but the game itself fell quite short
ARMA 2, was really hyped ... at least to me... and I found it to have the enormous open world as promised but very little direction making it just a huge area to run around while looking for goals
Halo, I have always thought of halo as a game trying to be what PC games have been for a long time... I have never understood the enormous fuss and devotion that game receives. Considering it's run of the mill, typical, and certainly nothing special even when compared to some other console shooters.

Rag Doll Kung Fu... I bought it before the demo was out.. and I supposed it would be good, after all, valve let it on to Steam. I was so wrong. That event learned me to be a little more critical about what I buy from Steam.

Street Fighter IV.

"This is the best fighter ever made", reviewers wailed. "This puts fighting games into a new era!", fans shouted.

It sucked. Big time. Terrible button combinations, 2D character personalities, complete lack of any kind of decent storyline even for a fighter and completely broken gameplay. I completely hated it.

Fable. By no means was it a bad game, but it was just over hyped and they couldn't deliver all their promises. Same thing happened with Fable 2.
I was lucky enough not the hear any of the hype. Hence, why Fable: Lost Chapters is my favourite Original Xbox game.

Fallout 3 did not hold my attention that long either.
I hated Fallout 3 when I first got it. The "I payed £40 for this?" thought rolled over in my mind atleast a dozen times.

Then I found a Combat Shotgun, put the difficulty to Very Easy and had some fun.

FarCry 2.

A terrible game, which follows Crysis in being pretty, but crap. Was looking forward to it, the videos and map editor looked fun, not to mention it was a sequel (for some reason) to FarCry, which was fun.

Fable 2.

Peter Molyneux is a liar.

Call of Duty 4/WaW.

After the pure quality of CoD2 and the bearable CoD3, I expected a fun, skilled FPS. I did not receive said fun, skilled FPS.

Gears of War 2.

I expected a less buggy, skilled, entertaining macho-fest. I did not receive said less buggy, skilled, entertaining macho-fest, rather an even buggier, noob-filled retard-o-thon.

Halo 3.

I expected a sequel to Halo 2.

Command and Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3.

I was so happy when they announced these, only to buy and play them and find nothing enjoyable from the previous games. CnC3 was an imbalanced mess with boring units, and RA3 went from RA2's humorous and cheesy to plain stupid and tiresome.

Spore: So much hype, so little delivery.

Mercenaries 2: Need I say more?

Sims 3: It was basically a rehashed version of the Sims 2 without half the content. Seriously, if both of my Sims 2 games weren't broken, I would play them. The only good thing that came out of the game was the moodlet system and the fact that the Sims no longer need to be looked after 24/7.

I am the only person who enjoyed Far Cry 2 and at the same time was unaware of the hype it generated, I swear.
I rented FC2, and after playing it, I had a feeling that people like you would be the only ones able to enjoy it.
It certainly wasn't a horrible game, but it just disappointed everyone else on so many levels of expectation after the hype, and failed to deliver what we expected from the series.
Yeah, I had never played the first, and my friend was saying how he had wanted to get it, but I had barely heard of this game. He played it, was disappointed, and then let me have it, and I loved it. He couldn't understand how I was able to finish.

That said, I was ever-hopeful about Too Human until a bit after it was released. I'm a sucker for Norse cyberpunk.
u r not alone in Far Cry, i never even heard of it until my friend brought it over one day, sure it got a bit repetitive after a while but i did enjoy "easing my buddies passing" (with a large gun-sadism rules)
OT:Rome total war for PC, again good at first but really slow, never finished it and it is now gathering dust with my PS2 games
