Ubisoft's entire catalog, mainly because of their DRM and "Fuck you, give us money" attitude towards PC gamers.

I'm sure the AssCreed series is good, Driver SanFrancisco has gotten good reviews from the only two reviewers I trust but I don't want it just because I don't want to support Ubisoft[footnote]I'm aware it lacks their DRM entirely but I still don't want to support it, even indirectly by buying other games they make. I know they're not going to take the hint, and even without their DRM their PC gamer attitude still spoils it.[/footnote]...Ubi's loss, not mine.
Exact same position for me.

And I believe they're still pulling their online DRM. They just changed it from "online all the time" to "online every time you start the game up". So... it's still there, basically. Also, as you said, their "fuck you" attitude towards PC gamers.

Fuck you too, Ubisoft.

Star wars the old republic: I dont mind paying 60 dollars for a game, but when I also have to pay 15 a month to play the thing, I refuse to buy it, either give away copies for free with a subscription like WOW, or just make the damned thing 60 dollars.

As the title says.

For me its Anno 2070, it looks good and interesting but i dont think its worth $50.
I have the exact same dilemma. I'm sitting on a 50% steam coupon with Anno's name on it but I'm hoping it goes on sale first.

Also, all of the 3DS remakes of N64 games seem overpriced to me. I have a hard time justifying paying $40 for 1) a game I already own and 2) one that had much less dev cost due to being a remake.

With most games that I won't already dropped in price I'm looking at what is to come. And I'm interested in Inversion, but I'm still skeptical as to how well the game will be. At this time I'll wait a bit before I get it. Also the next CoD of course fun, but not worth the $60.

For you sir, i have my favorite game buy site :) it's awesome (no I'm not a bot, just happy :p) if a game is available on it, like saints row 3 and Anno, its almost always a lot cheaper, and yes its legal. i emailed steam about it once because i wanted to be sure, but it didnt matter so go there :D. Almost always saves up to 30% orso.

http://www.g2play.net/store/home.php
(or anno: http://www.g2play.net/store/Anno-2070-Retail-CD-Key.html)

I dont.... I dont... How?

My insticts are saying scam.... But it looks so ligit.... How can they sell it so cheap?
It's somewhat explained somewhere on the site. lemme see..

"
Why is G2PLAY usualy cheaper than Steam, EA Store etc.?

Obviously as an alternative store we have more friendly prices structure than official stores which are usually bound to publishers who dictate their consumer prices. These shops have to follow the publishers instructions otherwise they will not receive any deliveries from the publishers. Well we do not have to listen to any instructions and we can set our own pricing.
"

But really, nothing I will say will probably say shit, as i sound like a bot now :). Just check around the internets and such i'm sure there are some threads on it. I'm happy with 'm anyway so I try to safe other people some money. (they are not always cheaper by the way, just often. Those steam actions still win out.)

I kinda want to play though mw3's campaign(dont judge me) but paying 80 bucks for it seems hardly worth it and i cant just rent it for a day for PC.

suikoden. Not even sure why I want it, probably because it was the best RPG prior to FF7 apparently.
Most games of late I am not willing to pay 40 quid for but will sit and wait til they go on sale by which point a sequel has normally come out.

I recommend strongly against Dead Island.
-crappy WOW-style quest system, they're just so boring
-weapons need to be replaced CONSTANTLY because of quickly diminishing durability
-weapon quality makes no sense at all! a small knife can be better than a big fucking club because it's name is written in purple text.
-everything levels up with you, so training seems incredibly pointless
-every female character wears a bathing suit (not a sexism complaint, I just find it irritating)

Overall the game just feels like it's lazily made; I honestly really wanted to enjoy it, but it's SOO BORING!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

totally off topic here (although i can make it moreso by saying i only forked out £15 for dead island) but id like to counter these points and argue for the virtues of dead island =P

-realistic quest system with quests based around finding loved ones/important tools for survival (for the most part anyway)

-throwaway weapons that are found absolutely everywhere break easily after cracking a few zombie skulls notches a few points for realism, you can constantly repair your level 60 katana with x3 electro-shock mods quite easily :D

-classic RPG style loot system

-while enemies health increases as you level - your available abilities allow you to take on more and more at once and come out clean. im pretty sure oblivion/skyrim could learn something here

-every female character wears a bathing suit! sweet! i kid of course, maybe it would help if the characters faces weren't all so damn fugly but rest assured not EVERY chracter wears a bathing suit, and we ARE talking about a tropical island here people, where people nip to the shops wearing nothing but their underpants. to me the game seems lovingly made and the setting for the game is wholly believeable, you can really tell the team visited these places and really pored over the details :)

sorry for that, i just cant sit back while poor little dead island is beaten on - he's just a little backwards and missunderstood people, that's all.

Modern Warfare 3 should be $30 like the expansion pack that it is.

Pretty much everything on my steam wishlist, which includes Alpha Protocol, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Dead Island and Dawn of War 2.

I'd like to play the games but I have no idea whether I'd enjoy them or not, so I'd like to pick them up at a discounted price.
I can heartily recommend Alpha Protocol and Deus Ex, I really enjoyed them. Bear in mind that I got Alpha Protocol for $3, though.

MW3. I played a round or two on my brother's account, enjoyed it thoroughly, but I simply don't see it as being worth more than 20 bucks to me when I already have Black Ops. The graphics looked nice, the guns were slightly different, but I didn't really see anything worth 60 bucks.

It is amusing how people have said SW:ToR is the 'Wow Killer', but after playing I find that doubtful (despite loving the game more than I ever did WoW).

But if it goes for the free-to-play model, just watch WoW subscriptions plummet within four months.

But honestly... a game I want but don't want to pay full price for... .

As expensive as the prices are 'Down Under', if it means encouraging game developers to make games that don't force you down corridors and hold your hand, then so be it!

Saint's Row 3
get it as cheap as you can (IMO)

OP: just played the Kingdoms of Amalur demo, wouldn't pay full price for it, but further down the road it maybe worthy of £20

I'd agree with Saints Row 3, wasnt going to pay full retail for it but shopto.net has it on offer this week for about £16. Well worth that price imo!

Alice Madness Returns. As cool as it looks, all my local game shops still price it at £30-£35, which I don't have.
