Enchanted Arms. It was one of the first games I got once I got a 360 and it kept me up for three days straight playing.

No seriously its awesome
Good to see another fan of the game.
It's totally out of left field, and one of those 'Impulse Buys' I don't regret (Like Chrono Cross).

You might want to try Legend of Kage 2, it's a side scroller with some decent combat and magic system.

OT:
I tell most folks I know to try out at least ONE MegaTen game.
The series is a 'must play' for anyone who gives a damn about turn-based games.

the legacy of kain series best story in a videogame

NONONOONONO! I played one for the PS2 (I think Soul Reaver or something) and it was absolutely terrible. (At least for me) They never tell you where to go and you don't even have a hint, I found myself getting headaches from running around searching for the next place to go with the guy in the spirit world (can't remember his name) and the combos you unlock barely work properly. Ughhh

I want people to try Killzone 2. Especially the online portion. Unlike Halo and MW2 it takes skill to just get one kill.

I know I whore it off a lot but Golden Sun. My favourite current series of games. Oh and Mother or as we down here'd call it Earthbound. Hotel Dusk for the DS as well as pretty cool if you're into american mysteries.
I never finished Golden Sun. I have the second one, but I refuse to play it until I finish the first. I beat those two assholes then they turn into a f'n dragon and rape my less than 30 HP left team. Needless to say, after I found that I hadn't saved the game for nearly an hour before my reaction was to neglect the game for many years...

Jump Ultimate Stars. Its a brawler with heaps of characters from the Jump magazines manga. The customization is really cool too. Its Import only due to licensing issue in the states.

Ho, ho fuckin' sore one. XD Yeah you're better starting the second game after beating the first so you can get more out of it and link up, it's what I'm doing again, going through a second time. =D Yeah you can beat Saturos and Menardi's Dragon Boss easy by using a combination of Granite and Garet's Djinn that uses a protective wall as well while Rush Summoning with Mia. Easy enough.

ICO. Not just talk about it, but actually play it. Same goes for SotC, although a lot more people have played that.

I not sure what game you played.
Yes, the LoK series doesn't wipe your arse...but it does tell you hints or give you map points as to where you need to go.

Love this thread, some suggestions.

Old PC:

Crusader: No Remorse & Crusader: no Regret

These are Isometric shooters, future setting with a silent masked protagonist which was to become the blueprint for Halo Queef.
Great resistance type story, nice early use of live action videos during gameplay.

PS2:
Project Zero (Survival Horror)

Really, you are not an elite anything. You play a scared Little girl with a magic camera to take out ghosts with well taken photo's.

PS3/Xbox etc.:

EA MMA

This game is currently not getting the sales it deserves, forget that piss poor UFC undisputed crap.

PS:

Can anybody who plays MMA explain to me what the knack is for doing chokes properly.

I get them occassionally but mostly by accident.

Nobody? ANYBODY? I HAVE BEEN RECOMMENDING IT FOR SO LONG.
noone does? right, fine. I've had enough of this. *grabs shotgun*
I'm not asking anymore. *glares maliciously*
SHUSH! I agree with you! :p

OT: Cryostasis! People should play it!

Also, I really think more people should shell out the small amount for the Oddworld games on Steam. Please? I don't often exagerate, but those are my most favorite games of all time.

And a random lot of three others:

Prey
Beat Hazard (didn't think I would like it, but there is something incredibly cathartic about shooting enemies while going for that high score while the game moves to the sound of your choice of music)
Eufloria (probably one of the most simplistic yet amazing little RTS's out there. I loved it to bits, and you should too :)

I'll go play it!
I recommended this to you ages ago, goddamn you.
You were not pointing the convincing business end of a shotgun at me at that moment. And the I just forgot about it. Buu-huh!

Before I forget... I would also like to recommend Singularity. It's a good shooter, aright? Kinda flew right below the radar mostly, which is somewhat sad.
Good good >:3 it's working

also, Singularity WAS good, but very gimmicky, repetetetetetetetetive monsters and the most predictable ending in the world, aside from that it was pretty damn fun :D

I second this fellows opinion.

I borrowed this from a friend and enjoyed it immensely.

For my own submission, I vote Cave Story.

Mario and luigi: bowser's inside story

it's a nice game, decided to get it on a whim and enjoy it. but I really enjoyed the final boss part, the music seems to make up all the parts that were lacking beforehand.

Yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku.

That game came at a time in my life when I thought I was too cynical for my own good, and was looking for something that, to me, was irrevocably, unrepentantly, just plain COOL, with seemingly NOTHING at all wrong with it.

I'd already found one such thing when I began getting into Shiina Ringo/Tokyo Jihen's music. And then I played Yakuza, and heard Shiina Ringo in my head as I walked through the glitzy, crowded, authentic Japanese cityscape. I then knew that this was the one game that I'd ALWAYS think is 100% cool and 0% uncool.

This was a game in which every night feels like a Friday night downtown, and everything is so awash with detail and there are so many things to do, and oh I can go on and on...

...and I always wanna show people this game, hoping they get the same jazzy/rock n' roll kung-fu noir vibe as I did.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

It's not the deepest RPG out there, but for the SNES it was visually incredible and is still my favorite game ever.

It's a shame this game only sold around 1.5 million copies :-(

Muramasa is pretty good, it's like an RPG beat-em-up that doesn't feel that repetitive, not even after a while (which is really something or beat-em-ups)

I do not recommend Plants vs. Zombies for one reason: You play it, you lose your life! O_O It's addictive!

Dawn of War 2 is nice for the Warhammer and RTS fans alike.
