Ace Combat 4/5/0

I'm not sure what I'd play them on, but I can (almost) promise you that an Ace Combat HD Collection would sale better and have higher reviews than Assault Horizon did...
The newer Ace Combat games were a bit too arcadey for my liking. They were fun, but just a little too out there. But 4 and 5 being remade? All of the yes!

For me, I'd love to see Freespace 1 & 2 remade. I loved those games and would love going back to that universe.

I got FF4 for the DS and found it to be quite great, and considering they'd made FF3 as well, I was hoping for remakes of FF5 and FF6 that just didn't materialize... major bummage.

Other then that, I'm fine with the originals of almost any game.. although a 2.5D Super Metroid remake would certainly hit the spot as well.

System Shock 1! I think a bit of an interface and controls update (and only THEN graphics and sounds) with a bit of coop integration (carefully of course) would be an amazing thing to behold.

Parasite Eve all the way.

Can you imagine Eve's transformations and all the Parasite Powers in modern graphics? That game would be so gruesomely beautiful.

It is a bit of an oldie...
But Legend of Grimrock made me think (and replay) Stonekeep.

I've always had a soft spot for retro games... dungeon crawlers especially (hence why I am in love with Etrian 4) and Stonekeep takes the cake for what it was...

Seriously, I know it was announced early 90's and released in the mid 90's... But I still think it's a great game, and there are so many little things Interplay did brilliantly that most game companies stuff up today!

Sure, it could use a bit of a redesign and tweak here and there, but I would love to see it done...

Not that I ever see it happening, since it's a slow-paced game and nothing really works like that now-a-days...

Another reboot I'd like to see is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (The entire series...)
I know it's not that old, but, again, with a triple A budget it would be amazing...

Zelda: Twilight Princess would be my first choice. I can see it happening anyway in the future, but despite the good reasons for Wind Waker getting the HD treatment, Twilight Princess needs it so much more. It still looks good, but in time it would be nice to its great art style fully realized in HD. Better yet, make it look like the Wii U Zelda tech demo, as long as it is the Gamecube version that gets remastered.
I wholeheartedly agree on the Gamecube version of TP getting remade. Not because the Wii version makes Link right-handed, but because I can't navigate the Wii version. I got stuck in Ordon Village like I'd never even played the game, but worse.

My choices would be:

Golden Sun
Golden Sun: The Lost Age

All I want are cleaner graphics. Only that. I would pay twice the normal price for that.
Funny thing is, I played the Wii version first so like you when I played the other version I felt lost, which felt really cool and fresh. For me, the Gamecube version controls would be more suitable to the Wii U even though the Wii U still supports the Wii motes. Plus it helps Link is left-handed too, it always does. :D

As for Golden Sun and Lost Age, I would like to see a cleaner version of the battle sprites and over world map since they are so blurry. Every other part of those games, when you are wandering around a village or dungeon for example, still look great. I'm just hoping the series is continued some day, it's hard to say at this point after Dark Dawn's poor sales.

Pretty much every game I want remade has been said already in this thread, so I'll just throw out a random one I thought of.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Give the game a HD paint job with full high-quality 3D graphics, maybe some dynamic camera angles during battles to spice things up, lots of extra visual flair to attacks, and so on and so forth. This will probably never happen but hey I can dream.

Timesplitters. Timesplitters was one of the most awesome franchises of the past console generation, and it would be amazing to be able to play it again with spruced up graphics. Come on Crytek, you know people want it.
Forget sprucing up the graphics, just make a new one already, dammit!

Also, I would like a rerelease of RE2, just like the first RE2, but with the over-shoulder cam.

Games I want to see in HD? That's easy, Custer's Revenge. I mean, what else could you even want?
The fact that this snuck by without so much as a peep from anyone makes me pause and wonder how many people actually read and understand what others say here. You probably could of said Rapelay and people might of reacted the same way.

As for the topic at hand, I would really love to see Armored Core : Last Raven brought up to modern speed. That was my favorite entry in the series and I'd adore having it see some TLC.

I say it all the time but god damn it give me a Colony Wars 1 remake with a skirmish mode and i'l be the happiest person alive.

The game had such atmosphere and deep story behind it all. Also the music is golden and bombastic and such a pleasure to listen too.
Good answer!

I'm going to go with Hostile Waters. The control system and the fluid, fun, game mechanics were a revelation as to what an action/strategy game could be. You could argue that Carrier Command thing was kind of a remake but that was shit so I'm not counting it.

EDIT: Also Final Fight. A 2D beat em' up with modern graphics and pacing could be immense. It could also be terrible but I think it'd be a noble effort.

Plus they could fix that Cannon room glitch that actually affected me and caused me to have to restart the entire game from scratch! T^T
I played TP back when it first came out and the glitch had just been discovered a few days earlier so I didn't know.
I was almost one of the unfortunate folk affected by that glitch. I'd saved after leaving that room instead of inside it and then I found out about that glitch the day later. Having not gotten on the game since midday, the day before, I was scared shitless I was gonna lose my save because I couldn't remember if I saved in or out of that room. :{

A friend wanted my help on the Water Temple, but he played the Wii version. Needless to say, I was less than useless. I figured it would provide a nice challenge, having to navigate a flipped map. The problem for me was that I literally could not do it. I was stuck trying to figure out which way was up in Ordon Village for 25 minutes. It was after that point I decided NOPE.

Also, that's pretty much almost exactly what I want for Golden Sun. I just want cleaner, clearer visuals. Maybe an actual save data transfer for importing to The Lost Age, so we don't have to deal with Gold Level Passwords. *shudder* As for Dark Dawn, I suppose the game was okay. I honestly hated the chibi style they went with and the game felt very...lacking, for want of a better word. I still have my GBA cartridges for the first two titles(sadly, no GBA to play them with :{), but I had no qualms with trading in Dark Dawn.

I would absolutely love to see an HD update of Space Station Silicon Valley. It was such a fun, ridiculous game...though I may be better off investing in an N64 than getting my hopes of a re-release

A lot of my all-time favorites have had HD remakes already. (Okami and Shadow of the Colossus, for example.) But I can think of a few others.

Final Fantasy VII, absolutely. I just started playing it for the first time from the PSN, and while it's fun, it's definitely pretty dated. Plus, Square-Enix would drown in drool-soaked fan money.

Kingdom Hearts 2. I mean, come on, after the HD remix of KH1? Now I want to play again, and I already sold off my PS2 and all my games...

Speaking of which, Final Fantasy XII, the Zodiac Job Board version. Because S-E is apparently allergic to releasing their awesome updates over here in the US. The Zodiac version fixes one of my main gripes with the game (that all the characters are basically the same when leveled up, unless you make a concerted effort).

For some non-Square games... Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is one I agree with wholeheartedly. Maybe they could even add more dialogue and non-combat options in the grindy endgame.

And I'd love to see HD KotOR. Maybe even the Restored Content Mod added to the game officially. Very unlikely to happen, but a girl can dream.

I would love to see two series of games brought back in HD.

Timesplitters- The series was great and it was one of the first games I remember playing when I was young, so it has a great affect on my gaming life and it would be great to relive the experience in HD.

Dark cloud- I love the first games and it has to be for me my most best games I have played (with kingdom hearts in a tied position, but since I know there is a remake and 2.5 coming as well that won't be on the list). I also never played the sequel since I never had it but if they were bundled together that would be a great way for me to finally play it.

System Shock 1 - The second game seems to the one that gets all the attention, but the first System Shock is an amazingly well-done game hidden under an atrocious control system. If they do a remake, hell, I don't even care if they make new HD graphics for it. Simply giving it better controls in line with today's games would make a world of difference.

Let's see, I would like:

Secret of Mana
Wild ARMs 1
Grandia
Secret of Evermore
Legend of Mana
Legend of Dragoon
Chrono Trigger
Timesplitters
Suikoden 2
Xenogears
Breath of Fire 1, 2 & 3 (maybe 4, too)
Megaman Legends
Wild ARMs, Chrono Trigger, and Breath of Fire 1/2 were all remade with middling success (and BoF2 got a fan remake with much better dialogue). Definitely agree with Xenogears and Secret of Mana though- both of these games were robbed of huge portions of their content to meet release dates. Xenogears' disc 2 was stripped down to just cutscenes and bosses!

Besides that, I always felt Demon's Crest and Mischief Makers to be under-appreciated as platformers, perhaps due to low content. In the former's case I've heard lots of stories about people returning it due to a great deal of Satanic imagery. Today the regulations and tolerances for such things are far less strict (Dante's Inferno, Doom 3, Shin Megami Tensei, Dark Souls...), so I think a remake might be better received than the original if it was made longer (only 7 stages originally, though there are multiple paths through each).

Also the first and second Turok games. They were both lots of fun even with a draw distance of about ten meters, and to this day they have the biggest, most sprawling levels of any FPS for good or ill.

Blood
Sacrifice
Myth: The Fallen Lords, and Myth 2: Soulblighter
Clive Barker's Undying
Syndicate (a REAL remake, not that garbage FPS reboot)
Turok 1+2 (could you imagine those games with Far Cry 3 graphics?)
The KKND games
