A lot of things in Super Mario 64 like: the Mad Piano, the spider thingies, boos, that eel from the water level. Actually water levels almost always scare me. They always have to have something creepy in the water. I can barely go into some underwater areas in the game Oblivion. The water is murky and dark and you can't see anything and then BLAM! There's now a huge eel fish thing with razor sharp teeth staring at my character. Bleh.

OH MY GOD.

Okay, one was called Little Ninja Brothers and for some weird goddam reason, the game scared the crap out of me. The bad guy looked menacing to my 6 year-old eyes, but that wasn't the bad part. When fighting little guys, there's a chance that they'll run away and a big *&^%ing minotaur will charge into the fray. His entrance is punctuated by a very dramatic change to the music that tells the player in no uncertain terms that you are not going to live. Indeed, every time the minotaur appeared, my brother and his friend (I, being the little brother, never got to play) promptly got squished. Anyway, that game scared me a lot.

There was another game. For the life of me, I simply cannot remember the details of this game, but I do remember encountering what appeared to be a young woman from behind. She turns around to reveal she's actually a skeleton! She reaches out with her sharp fingers, and.... game over. This game obviously didn't leave as much of an impression as Little Ninja Brothers, but I still hated my brother every time he said he wanted to rent it.
