I would have to say Dawn of War. I have installed and uninstalled that game more times than I can count. I really really like that game, but yet I cannot seem to finish the campaign. I usually will get to mission 9 or 10 / out of 11 , before I mysteriously quit...and I can't pinpoint why. It's my favorite RTS of all time right next to freaking Battle for Middle Earth II. Considering I luckily still have my Dawn of War installed, I think I might try to finish the campaign on Christmas Eve...I am not holding my breath though. xD

Black Ops, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

I completely lost interest in the first two, the third disappeared, and I haven't played the fourth in so long that I'd feel obligated to restart in order to get a clearer picture. And that's just needless effort.

When it comes to 100% completion, there are a ton of games that I won't ever beat. Thank the Gods for Castlevania games which go up to a 201% completion though! Anyway and in all seriousness, games I'll never beat...I dunno know honestly. I generally consider a game beaten once I get to the credits and generally only play on one or two difficulty settings. That being the case there are a ton of games I will never beat. It sounds like I would be fine when it comes to RPGs but I don't level to 100/99/cap and I don't find 100% of the available items, summons, etc so once again: very few RPGs (J or otherwise) that I'll be able to beat. Sure, I've made it to the ending of Final Fantasy 9 but not with Excalibur or 2...

Stronghold crusader, because fuck those last 4 missions.
Fallout 3, because i'm to lazy to use a wiki to find the last alien archives.
Fallout new vegas, because i will never help the legion, not even for achievements.
LOTR Battle for middle earth, because it's to easy and i gave up.
Super robot wars @gaiden, Because Shu Shirkawa won't fucking die.
Armored Core 5, because no one plays online anymore.
Any of the Assassin's creed games, Because i hate them.
Pokemon white, because that's impossible.
Megaman BN4 BM, because metalman, protoman, and junkman are 1337 haxorz
Dragon age origins, because the mage's tower is impossible on nightmare difficulty.
skyrim, because i have ADHD and a hording problem.
Morrowind, there are too many mods

About Dark Souls - if you have no problem with normal enemies, just bosses, co-op or Gold Pine Resin. There are some really good co-op players out there, but almost any player will be an asset to your combat and the AI means that if you get a Warrior of Sunlight they can practically just hurl Greater Lightning at them all day, and that will almost do the job itself if they have full charges. I know this because I'm a Warrior of Sunlight in one of my slots and that s*** ruins everything - Gargoyles, Quelaag, Sif, Discharge, Capra, it really does not matter.

Gold Pine Resin if a guaranteed drop from the Mushroom parents past the 3 bearcats in Darkroot, and you get a couple from Undead Burg if you have the Masterkey or Residence Key. Once you can kill the mushrooms reliably, get a stock of this and apply liberally for bosses. If you're already over Dark Souls, naturally don't bother with either of these.

OT: Skyrim. I am meticulous in my game completion and I will finish every game I play, which is why I was so annoyed when I got a bug that halted both the War and Main questlines. I really couldn't bring myself to get tot that point again, and it faded away.

FTL: Faster Than Light. While difficulty is expected in any roguelike game, FTL, while being an otherwise good game, relies a bit too much on luck. My chances of finishing it are... slim.

OT: Funny how a lot of people say Dark Souls, good thing when I bought the game it was all I had to play until 2012's games rolled around. And thats the story on how I got hooked on the Souls series.

Skyrim: booooooring, and its worse cause I have the DLCless PS3 edition. Also Skyrim has no end... talk about insult to injury.
Borderlands: Me and my friend downloaded it so we can play on our spare time, he got bored of it, it rubbed off on me, then I realized why it was boring. Ouch.
Zelda OoT: Got it on the wii and OH MY GOD it really didn't age well.

Super Meat Boy. I stopped at the final levels before trashing my gamepad. Whenever I pick it up again, my thumbs basically forces me to drop it and play something more...friendly.

Assassin's creed 1, Far Cry 2, Ocarina of Time. Also Minecraft because it's official ending isn't something I want to actively seek.

Dishonored

The visual design is fantastic and characteristic, but somehow the game lacks any real character at all. The world and its inhabitants don't feel vibrant or genuinely alive.

Everytime I try to start a new game, but whenever I stop to do other things I can't find much enthusiasm to return to it.

The World Ends With You
Oh. I think... [small]I think you should finish that.[/small]

OT: Ico.

Fuck Yorda, I don't even care. She isn't worth it. I have no connection with her. The only reason I ever want to keep her away from those shadow-guys is because otherwise I turn into stone for some reason. (Which, sometimes, I think I'd actually prefer to protecting her...) I can't understand a damn thing she says, she can't be bothered to do anything on her own. Yorda won't even struggle when shadow-dudes grab her. Obviously she wants it to happen.

I just. I get so angry playing that game. I figured that since it was Escort Mission: The Game, it would be designed in such a way so as to make the escort mission not awful. But I guess not. If anything, they made it worse.
Oh I hope no budding fanfic writer reads your post, she wants it to happen huh... [sub]Unfortunate implications[/sub]

Awwwww I like Ico, Yorda is so cute! It's got loads of cool little things I like, such as saving is the two of them resting on a bench together hand in hand (gah the cuteness, i'm channeling the spirt of a fangirl here somehow.)

Still not far enough into the story yet and platforming swings wildly from fun to frustrating ever two seconds, does she even show much of how much she wants to be saved? Maybe you got the wrong end of the stick and she's scared to disobey the random horned guy who's abducted her... Way to ruin it for me DX

[small]That fanfic probably already exists.[/small]

I liked it for a time, but around the first large wave of enemies, I just snapped. It's ridiculous, trying to fend off, like, 15 of those bastards with a stick. It's the sort of difficult I'd expect for the end of the game, not the beginning. The trophy list spoiled for me that there's a sword at some point, but I kind of can't be bothered to get that far.

Any Final Fantasy game. Any single player game that forces me to grind trash for hours just to progress through the main plot just causes me to lose interest. Regardless of how good or bad I am at the game, if I don't have the numbers for it I can't do it, and that fact is what keeps me away from most JRPGs.

It's also why I freaking love Dark Souls, because just like any little trash enemy can halve your health if you're being an idiot, you yourself can beat enemies much stronger than you (first black knight in undead burg) if you're smart about it.

The first Assassin's Creed; about half way through, I just lost all interest. Played and finished 2+Brotherhood, though.
Also, Rule of Rose. I've been thinking about plugging in the old PS2 and replaying some of my favorite games (I'm looking at you, Haunting Ground!) but then I remember Rule of Rose. I love the game but god damn, I just cannot play it. The combat mechanics are god awful and Jennifer has terrible weak attacks.

There's plenty of games that I've started and not continued, so I'll limit my list to the games I regret not going further in:

Paper Mario Thousand Year door - Got to a particular section, and it seems there's a scratch on the disc somewhere, because as soon as I reach it, an error message pops up saying so. It's odd, because I've got discs that look in way worse condition that work fine. But I was really enjoying that game.

Amnesia - I'm just too much of a coward. I've seen enough plays through of the game to know when and where the monsters are coming, but dammit, I can't do it.

Penumbra - Same as above, only without the play throughs, so amplified many times.

For me, it's Borderlands 2, Resident Evil 6 (even though I love it so much) and I would have to say Demon Souls, kinda like everyone else here XD

Pretty much every JRPG I ever played, which is beyond ironic since it's one of my favourite genres. I'm not entirely sure why I never finish any of them, I just somehow lose all interest after playing for a certain amount of time or something happens that results in me putting the game off for a long while and when I want to get back into it again I can't remember a darned thing about it, resulting in me giving up anyway too.

I'm making pretty good progress in Tales of Graces though, might be the first ever JRPG I bother finishing.

Any of the Paradox Grand strategy games. Even though I've clocked in about 400 hours in EU3 I've never managed to go through the entire timeline. There are so many nation for you to fuck up history with.
