Baldur's Gate 3. A game that for several very good reasons we all know must NEVER be made. And for that I weep.

An Ark 22 sequel.

Republic Commando 2.

Star Wars Battlefront 2, a Mass Effect MMO, and a Harry Potter MMO (Come on, life at school would be awesome going around with your wand and magics!)
You mean Star Wars Battlefront 3 right?
Yea, I knew something was wrong when I posted it... Needs more hero options, planets options, and space battles imo. Maybe like 4 heroes per map (even space maps) and it randomly picks one to be that game.

Also some of the best maps from the first one were taken out and I have no idea why. I loved the snow map with the stone temple or whatever it was.

They should develop a game called 'Poop', so that when it gets near release date, we could say 'Poop is coming out.'

Well, Starlancer was my favorite space-sim since the Wing Commander series, so when they announced a sequel, I was happy as a puppy. Starlancer ends just as the war is turned around, opening a whole new battlefront for the sequel.

Instead, they start Freelancer by telling us that the first game, well, didn't really matter. Sorry, you lost the war, and hey, it's now a thousand years in the future! Then they dumped the awesome carrier-ops, Cold War-turned-hot-IN-SPAAAAAAAAACE theme for broken open world exploration, also dumping the awesome military ships from Starlancer for some of the worst ship designs this side of EVE Online.

The problem with Freelancer, in short, is that it was advertised as a sequel to an awesome, awesome game, and instead it took a dump on it in the intro, then flew off in an entirely different direction. There is NOTHING in Freelancer to suggest it's a sequel to Starlancer. The first game was a linear, story-driven military space sim. None of those words apply to Freelancer. I get that a shit-ton of people loved Freelancer, but from my experience most of those people aren't even aware that the game is a sequel!

That is pretty much my gripe.
Okay, I have to put my hands up to that one; some of the ship designs were utterly stupid; the capital ships in particular looked like fish out of water...literally!

I already knew Freelancer is actually an amalgamation of Starlancer and Freespace, although I never thought it was a sequel - more like a spin-off - considering how it only gives the first game such a brief mention.

Flew off in a different direction, indeed...and somehow lost their hyperdrives in the process! That's what really pisses me off about it, that the Sleeper Ships had hyperdrives, yet during the game, everyone's relegated to jump gates/holes! Arbitrary bullshit!

I never actually played Starlancer myself, I must confess.

I recently bought Wing Commander: Privateer off gog.com and was pissed off to find that the jump drive was nothing but a wormhole travel permission slip you have to pay through the nose for, which was also a terrible idea in Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos, which is especially galling since that game gets fast travel right in general and while I'm on the subject and to get it out of my system: The LDS (Linear Displacement System) drive - according to the game - moves the ship close to the speed of light (roughly 300,000km/s) but in practice, even the most basic LDS drive can go at several million km/s! Oh right, so you're smart enough to use Lagrange Points as an excuse to bottleneck all interstellar traffic but you can't remember what the speed of light is!?

Ah, glad that's out of the way, now I can resume waiting impatiently for Infinity's release.

Or A Song of Ice and Fire: An RPG slightly more fulfilling than the two year old mod for M&B.
