I wish Sqaure Enix would make a Kingdom Hearts 3. and not a prequel, but something that happens after the end of KH2. I know, the island is back, xemnas and sephiroth are gone, Kingdom hearts has been shut. um, so? Retcon a new story Square enix!

I've got one, Crimson Skies II. The first game was awesome and had a really fun story plus cool multiplayer modes. Which were both intense and addicting. I guess for now I will have to hope Dark Void fills in the spot where CSII could have been.

Agree with you a lot.

It's weird, unlike most other media video/computer games tend to get better with sequels while films and books tend to get worse.
That's because they're pieces of software and fun-geneering. :) It's only natural that user feedback and criticism would help improve the product on the second pass.

Ok seriosly this time, a Generals 2, one that has nothing to do with EA.
And Slave Zero, it was a nice game for it's time.

Why is their no sequel to Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath ;(
Because Oddworld Inhabitants looked at the way the games industry worked after Stranger and decided it wasn't for them anymore and went to make films...

Some light on the horizon though: they recently re-released Abe's Oddysee and Exodus on Steam. They sold so well that they have agreed to remake Much's Oddysee and Stranger on Steam too. So they're working on them, but no release date yet.

Who knows, if they sell well they may well return and make the next 2 games. (They origonally planned 5, The two Abe games and the Munch game are from the plans, Stranger was a spin-off).

OT:

I would love to see the next Oddworld.

Valve need to pull their finger out and get on with Episode 3 and HL3.

And Dungeon Keeper 3 would be great (the cancelled one was said to be above ground. :) )

Anachronox - An old PC RPG that ended on a little cliff hanger... (Another planned series that got canned for poor sales. :( )

Planescape Torment

The Witcher

Prey

Psychonauts

There's probably loads more, but I am in work at the moment so I can't look at my collection for inspiration.

Age of mythology. I want a true sequel not just some more expansion. but tis never gonna happen 'coz Ensemble closed down earlier this year before the release of halo wars, wwhich was suririsingly good.

The Legend of Dragoon--I would dearly love to see either a sequel or a current-gen remake.
I think I love you. :D

Seriously, though, this game was awesome. I still like to bust it out and play it every now and again. I agree, a current-gen would be great, preferably using less than four discs.
I can't believe I forgot about Legend of Dragoon. Possibly one of the first games ever to incorporate real-time elements into turn based battles. Genius.
People at the time said it was a final fantasy ripoff, and I have to say they were wrong.
The game was nothing like Final Fantasy 7, 8 or 9 (I use these examples as Legend of Dragoon used active computer graphic models laid over a pre-rendered photo-realistic background just like those other 3 games), but fuck it was great.
Hard at times though.
I had a bit of trouble on those... oh crap I forget what they were called. They were the enemies of the Winglies. Massive behemoth beast things with wings.
Would those be the Virages you speak of?

Elite. Beat. Agents. That can not be stressed enough.

Also, not sure about you guys, but I'd love a new Sly Cooper picking up from where 3 left off.
