All you really need to know is there in the title. What games do you wish, for whatever reason, had never been made?

This. This sad, pathetic excuse for a fucking game.

Sonic Unleashed made up for it though.

Too human? I suspect I should have tried co-op, it would have made things better, but by myself, it was a godawful and weak game for such a long development. That or section eight, but I hear the sequel is much better...

Starcraft 2. It shat all over our expectations and dug up, raped, pissed over, then buried face down the multiplayer, legacy and story of Starcraft. Starcraft 2 is not nearly the e-sport Starcraft was.

ninja'd... and quoted for truth.

it has now become something not resembling what it once was. just a faceless mass of a corporate cash-grab that will do anything for that extra buck

Splinter Cell Double Agent, I loved the splinter cell series, especially the multiplayer spies vs mercs and they just took it away and gave an incredibly crappy single player game and the recent entry in the series really didn't make things that much better.

Far Cry. It was great, but it eventually toasted my old graphics card. ^^ Also, WOW wasted a whole lot of my time. So did Diablo2. And Warcraft 3. Blizzard should not have been made. ^^

oh man where to start,

Call of duty, nuff said

Gears of war, because we needed MORE space marines, I want my unreal championship back epic

anything past Halo 1

Kingdom hearts, seriously, what other purpose does that series serve other than to make all the girls fangasm. seriously.

Mortal Kombat, not the worst thing ever but I think its pretty terrible, its only reason for existing was to add gore to fighters, but its not even a well made fighter.

okay so this list is shorter than I expected, but still some of these games are a absolute scurge in the industry and slowly ruining the way and purpose that games are made

Because 1-4 were great, except for 3 of course. It all started with Treyarch making WaW, which turned it into the yearly-release mega-cash-in franchise it is now.

Should've stopped with 4.

WaW was alright, and at least had Nazi zombies. Modern Warfare 2 with all it's online hacks and bugs, it's horrible single player/ red dawn rip off and the god awful balancing was what tipped it over the edge. Least in WaW, it was only the MP40 you had to avoid.

Can't really say for certain. Even BAD games serve a purpose in the end, if only to finally jolt the consumer from a conditioned acceptance of mediocrity or bad gameplay in its extreme. Hell, it even serves as a basic How-To for developers on what NOT to do. Progress is progress, even if it's a step to the side...

Arguably the first game to really use cover-based shooting as a core gameplay mechanic.

I'd have listed Shenmue on here for being the first to really use QTEs during a cutscene, but eh.
