The par-core aspect was wonderful....
Everything was just bad all around.

Left 4 Dead 2
Only complaint was changing the multiplayer. If one person can rush and make it to the end, they'll win.
Conerning the L4D comment...how is that any different than the first?

I wish Deadly Premonition was better, I personally loved it but a lot of people were put of by the graphics and gameplay. I wish it got more street cred ;~;

I was speaking in terms of just the multiplayer. In Left 4 Dead you had to work together to survive. If you lost health, or a person your points at the end would be less then then group that made it with all 4 people. You had to be more of a team player to get an awesome score.

While in Left 4 Dead 2 everyone can split up and rush the map. As long as one person makes it far or even to the end of the map they will win verses a team that sticks together and makes it half way. It defeats the purpose of a survival game if all you have to do is rush a map to win.

I love both games, but I will not play L4D 2 multiplayer anymore.

Fallout: New Vegas is also a borderline case. It's not actual "bad," as it is well-written and designed, but I literally have no more patience left to deal with its bugginess. Unless they come out with some magical patch that fixes most of the lag and freezing issues, I don't see myself playing any more of it in the future, which makes me very sad because it's my favourite RPG.
Oh, god, yes! This! My god! I swear, just a few things to fix like bugs, and maybe other stuff like get some better voice actors and pretty up the graphics, and you could have a game that twenty times better than Fallout 3!

I would have to say Lord of The Rings Conquest. Demo was awesome, then came game....

(Off Topic Completely)

How about movies that should have been awesome? The Eagle, I loved movies about Rome especially Gladiator. And do I need to say how The Eagle turned out?
Re: the off topic, see the movie Centurion. It's the same story about the missing standard, but it's goddamn awesome.

On topic, I've always wanted to enjoy an MMO. Just can't do it.

Elder Scrolls games post Daggerfall, granted Daggerfall wasn't amazing but it was outrageously huge. Hey Bethesda you know what RPGs need? Characters or at least a story. It seems obvious that Beth just want to make ZenoClash without the weird.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you guys play console versions, and thus haven't been able to net patch?
Also 'just' making all the graphics better and fixing all the bugs? That's one big task.

OT: Halo Reach for me. I wanted to like the new Halo, so I could play it and not feel sad about the diminishing playerbase of 3 online. But no, the reticule spread and armour abilities just bothered me too much.

Ah, I hadn't noticed the different equation for the new multiplayer.

Okay, generally the games I find are good because I've weighed the options and the possibility of fun to be had...and really I have a high probability of fun in whatever I buy. There ARE exceptions, but as people who know me and my rants would think...I don't want FF8 to be good. I just wish I never bought it.

No, I have a different game in mind, an older game. A friend of mine introduced me to a game which is FPS around the Quake era involving fighting, quests, character interaction, making choices, and kicking ass. (Yes, fighting and kicking ass need separate mentions.) The game was called Strife and it involved the world being bombarded from space and then taken over by basically armed cultist soldiers who serve...an entity of unknown origins. (Far too late for spoiler alerts, seriously.) Basically, the entity is taking over and spawning, and thus denies humanity the right to breed during its act of conquest.

Here's the thing. This game WASN'T bad. I played it and it's fun. The problem was the very thing you should have picked on in the previous paragraph. The game did poorly because it was released mere months before Quake, overshadowed by the competition. But thenm to be perfectly frank, better before than after, because then maybe the guys behind Strife wouldn't have seen ANY money. So, I guess what I wish is that it was good enough to make its own standing.

Wet. I love the theme, the music is great and some of the characters are rather appealing to me. Unfortunately the game is kinda sucky gameplay wise. And it's very short, too. Not to mention the title makes me feel a bit dirty every time I say it out loud.
plus Eliza Dushku. Mmmm Dushku.

Yeah I'm gonna go with any of the Tenchu sequels. I loved the dogshit outta the first one!The rest left me with a hollow pit where my testicles should have been.

Centurion was seriously underrated. I feel ya about the mmo's and I was a wow addict for awhile.

Red Alert 3 no question!

I was so psyched about Red Alert 3 after I saw the trailer, it look amazing and I mean... it was RED ALERT 3!!!
Then when it came out I bought it right away and started to play... BIG mistake!

Every thing that was great about the Red Alert series was gone! The good story replaced by a lame and kinda stupid story(even for Red Alert), the good acting was replaced by big actors that did there worst performances ever, the units that were awesome before was replaced by useless units wich only shared the names!

I mean when you start a mission and the first thing you get is the enemy commander calling you and telling you how bad you are and that I will loose big time!
I mean you kinda expect that to happen, but not every time, on every mission and from every commander you meet(even if there are several during one mission). Later when you defeat them they call you again and tell you how this was not suppose to happen etc. etc.

All of that and add the terrible acting and you get... Red Alert 3!

Biggest game disappointment EVER!!!

You guess correctly. :p

And I guess I was being a little harsh on them for that, but when your graphics look worse than your previous game, the implication of being rushed sets in. That's what pretty much bothered me. That and a lot of the voice actors.

I always felt the opposite. For me, apart from a few rare situations with a light class, the only places I used parcour would be places where a different game would just have a staircase. I felt like the rest of the game was alright, not anywhere near as good as it could have been.

But I do have to agree, it was a very big dissapointement :(

That didn't take long to pop up, but completely agree with you. How someone managed to mess up making LotR: Battlefront I'll never know, but it made me sad
