Games you wish were more difficult

I was recently playing through Fallout 3 for the somethingth time and realized one of the few issues which kept the game from being truly godlike (to me) is the lack of difficulty. I started on 'very hard' difficulty which at first was a nice challenge. I immediately set out into the world from Vault 101 ignoring Megaton and such and began exploring. It was pretty tough at first scavenging for whatever crude weapons I could find, and having no supplies left at the end of each fight. For me this was pretty awesome and immersive, although it didn't last. Very soon I started stockpiling ammo and weapons and eventually stumbled on the terrible shotgun. I tried to be diverse in my fighting and not sleep to regain health and such to maintain realism, but basically every other container contains about 20 rounds of some type and if I wanted to I could beat the whole game using only a shotgun (or the robot's plasma rifle or whatever). With that said I'm fucking PUMPED for harcore mode in New Vegas.

Aaaanyways, I'm wondering if y'all can think of any other games that would have been that much more fun if they were tougher. Others that come to mind for me would be the Fable and Bioshock games.

The main story of the Pokemon games. There is a term that many use that states "Anything Works In-game". It's true, as you can beat the entire campaign with any Pokemon.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

The game mechanics were great and everything, but when you you get down to it, it's extremely easy compared to the others

EX: The A parry attack thing. A guranteed hit while dodging

Also, the great spin there was just ridiculous

As i said fun game, but just a tad easy

Do you have the PC version? Download some of those mods at Fallout Nexus like FO3 Wanderer's Edition (FWE) to your game. You won't be playing that game on very hard I don't think.

Nah I've got it on 360, I've heard about those mods tho. Maybe when I get New Vegas I should grab it for the PC in case hardcore mode isn't what they say it is.

I was just reading up on that mod, it sounds epic. I'm definitely gonna get the PC version of New Vegas so long as my GPU can handle it respectably.

The last Prince of Persia game. That game was practically autopilot. Just point in the general direction of where you want to go and the Prince will go there no problem.

Well the most recent thing in my memory would be Splinter Cell: Conviction. The way you just breeze through the game makes you wish it was a bit more challenging. To increase the playtime if nothing else.

Ya, Pokemon. There's not much grind involved, which makes it lose its hardness (if you ask me).

I'm really sorry, but that's what she (or he?...) said. Also, I just though of the KOTOR games

This thread just convinced me to play Fallout 3 hardcore style (only 1 save per day and death = the end, on Very Hard).

Fallout 3 = way too easy. I completed a no-death run on Normal difficulty and never came close to breaking a sweat.
