Dragon Age.. was really hyped about it and pre-ordered, but when I popped it in (pc) it just fell flat. First time around I got 6 hours in, and then went meh. A month ago I made a new class based on my previous attempt, got 11 hours in, and realised I still wasn't having any fun. Love the idea of the game and I love Mass Effect, but Dragon Age just doesn't push the right buttons =/

For me it's armored core, disgaea and any Silent Hill game after the third one.

TES: Oblivion.
It seems like everything I would want from an RPG. Customization in both appearance and with a wide array of skills to specialize in. Wide open world with massive amounts of quests, loot to find, places to see.
But I just don't like the game. Every few months since release I pop the game in to give it a try. I've tried vanilla, mods, more mods, unreasonable amounts of mods. I've modded the game until you could barely tell it was still the same game. Still, there's just nothing about it that keeps my interest. Cyrodil is just so...dull.

We sure have gone 180 degrees as a society, when people get bullied because they don't play time consuming, mediocre high fantasy role-playing games.
lol I wouldn't use the word "bullied". I actually meant the word "trolled" when I said it.

What they all did was they all kept giving me false reasons for why WoW was 'sooo awesome', and then plugged their ears when I made a rebuttal. That's why I eventually wrote the essay. Any time someone said "haha WoW has the best graffix evar" I just gave them my essay and told them to piss off. It eventually worked.

Fallout and Fallout 2. I really want to play them and i have tried. I like the story and I want to keep playing and then it happens... Turn based combat. Blaarghh... It's sooo boring. I don't understand how anyone can enjoy it.

I could mention alot of games but I suppose to list the most notable, super Mario, Star craft, Half-life, fallout 2, and halo. In all of those cases I just can't see what's so great about them, perhaps it's just me lacking the nostalgia factor that so many of them seem to use as their stock and trade.

As for genres I wish I could stay in MMO's hell it's right up my alley epic vista's, other funny/fun people, and the opportunity to run around helping people, but I just can't seem to stay involved long enough to make friends and with out friends I never get into them the whole catch 22 I suppose.

inFAMOUS. I can see there's a great game in there, but I think the fact that I played Prototype several years ago and found its controls better kind of poisoned me against inFAMOUS.

Fallout 3. I tried to get into it, but once I get to Galaxy News Radio I get bored, so then I just wander around Megaton stealing everyone's plates and silverware.

Can I add one more? I wish I liked Minecraft. It feels that I'm really missing out on something but just can't enjoy it. I am creative when it comes to drawing and writing but I've never liked Legos (I always liked Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys better).

Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and 4.

...because I loved Metal Gear, Metal Gear: Solid Snake, and Metal Gear Solid... but I simply couldn't stand 2.

Guild Wars, I just missed something, I missed an element in the game, good thing I bought it for just 15 euros.

This is going to sound weird, but whilte I loved Pokémon SoulSilver, I just can't get into FireRed or Ruby.

I wish I liked Final Fantasy VI, but it feels strangely translated and I can't connect with any of the characters because they kind of feel inconsistent or interchangeable.

Super Mario Brothers. I lost count of how many times I've tried to like Mario games, but I have yet to actually enjoy them. I tend to get bored within the first few minutes, but I've played these games to entertain younger relatives for long periods of time and hated every minute. I simply cannot impose any interest in these games on myself.

Strangely, I love the old Sonic titles, so something tells me that I would have been rooting for Genesis during the days of the SEGA/Nintendo rivalry.

Minecraft. I loved the idea, I loved the gameplay, I loved the possibilities... but Google Sketchup always drags me away! :)

Prince of Persia, I'm terrible with platforms as in, if there's a bit I can't do, it really frustraights me.

Devil May Cry, I like the idea of stylized violence but I'm also someone who likes doing things effectively. Why should the game penalize me for being an effective killer?

The Witcher, I really can't be bothered playing a man-whore who attacks by clicking and choosing 3 different ways to click.

Deathspank, I do like humourous games. But humour alone can't carry shallow gameplay.

SimCity, too much, fuss.

The Sims2, I don't want my Sims to die of old age. It feels like I have a time limit on my gameplay.

Two Worlds, generic green and brown and grey western RPG.

Divinity II, generic green and brown and grey western RPG. I thought being able to turn into a dragon would be cool but it was just a pain in the arse.

The Last Revnant, I enjoy western RPGs. Just not this one.

Half-Life. I wish I could be as ecstatic about it as everyone else but it came off as mediocre to me in every way.
Hooray somebody else agrees! You do mean the first Half Life, yes? Not hl2? Because hl2 is fun, but the first feels like its from the same bag as Halo combat evolved. Both Halo and Hl just pissed me off more than anything. I played both in the space of a week in order to find out what all the fuss is about and left with a foul taste in my brain.
I'm guessing you didn't play Halflife 1 when it first came out did ya? Comparing it to the games of the time, it was so incredibly ahead of its time... well, it just isn't as impressive now when all games have stories built in, and characters, and potentially cool stories.
