Games you would love to see re-made into current gen..

Hi all, first post here.. looks like a decent gaming forum!

Just wondered what the gamers here would like to see remade from their old-skool classics and why. I'll start with my entries..

1. Streets of Rage - 1 & 2 are probably my most favourite games of all time. As well as the nostalgic feel, I can happily play 1 and 2 right to the end without getting bored.. even in the present day. An all time classic journey from start to finish. I've probably completed 1&2 more than any other game I've played.

2. Ghouls and Ghosts (Megadrive/Genesis version, although I'm unsure if the SNES version was the same!) - Another classic game, the countless hours of fun I've had playing this game with family and friends at an early age is stupidly long. Sometimes I wish I could go back and experience this game all over again as if it were brand new!

3. Rocket Knight Adventures - OK, so all my games are Megadrive/Genesis classics but who cares? I used to absolutely love this game. This was something a bit different for me but kept me entertained for years.

so what's your faves and if they were made into current gen games.. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE THEM?

I agree, I think FF7 is one of those games you'll never forget. I've also said to a few people that if the PS3 did a remake, I would actually purchase one. Good choice man.

Apologies dude. Like I said I've literally joined up 20 minutes ago so I'm unfamiliar with what goes on in these forums.

Good call with the Oddworld games. Abe's odyssey was amazing.

As long as the music & voice actors stay the same & new levels are added.....

1)American McGee's Alice. (A sequel is being made, but it's not a remake).
2)Final Fantasy 7. (I want the biseinenness of Advent Children).
3)Serious Sam II. (No design change, just more levels & more crazy funny shit).
4)Diablo. (Secret Cow 3D).
5)Baldur's Gate II (so it looks more like Neverwinter Nights).
6)Morrowind (Because the mods clash & aren't stable).
7)All of the pre-Morrowind Elder Scrolls games. (DOS Box not included).

Another forgotten classic!!! Good shout man, I used to absolutely love this game.

I know it can't really be done... but Die Hard Trilogy (the first one) is a gaming experience I'd like to enjoy all over again.

Even though I'm getting a PS3 soon, I would love to play a remake. I have the game but for some reason every time I try to play it in my PS2, the memory card gets wiped, doesn't matter which card so I can never beat the game.

Metal Gear Solid.

I've literally been watching MGS: The Twin Snakes that was released on Gamecube(? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) with updated GFX and etc on youtube and felt that the scenes had lost their emotional value!

I do agree that MGS on the PS1 had some of the most memorable scenes in most of the games I've played.. so, again, very good call!

FF7, preferably on multiple formats, because I never had the chance to play it and now I'm away from the PS2 for months at a time (being at university I don't have access to it when it's owned by the whole family, I'm stuck with the old 360 instead). Also, American McGee's Alice, but that's only because I can't find it anywhere and a remake would be released all over the place, meaning I could find it with little/no effort (yes, I'm lazy...).
