Games you'd love to see.

Well I guess it's time for this topic again. It's been a while since we've discussed it and I've found myself freshly inspired.
What games would you love to see made?

For me, I'd love to see another Red Dead Game, set before Redemption, which features a recently freed slave hunting down his abusive former masters with a vengeance.
Red Dead Retribution would be one hell of a game and would let us explore a lot of ideas. Not many games are brave enough to tackle the often sticky subject of slavery, and certainly not at so close a perspective. But it would also be an excuse to have a hell of a lot of fun shooting off all sorts of western guns.
And yes it's heavily inspired by this film.

But I still think that it's an idea worthy of exploration.

Micheal is basically hannibal, trevor is murdoch (hes even the pilot of the group) and franklin is BA barracus the driver and most physically dominant of the trio.

however an actual licensed A-team game using these mechanics would be something special

Sounds good. I'd also throw in a few of the mechanics from Payday 2.

Plus a Sons of Anarchy game could be awesome.

A game based on the manga Biomega. Just the entire setting, story and characters would work so well in a game. You could have like action pieces, stealth, horror and high chase pursuits in one of the most kick-ass cyberpunk settings ever created. The manga integrates various story elements so extremely well and mostly in its visual presentation. They could almost follow the manga panel for panel as a design document. It would be soooo awesome.

An RPG set in the Lord of the Rings universe. A decent amount of official LotR games have been released, yet few have actually done the Middle-earth IP justice, in my opinion. Ring-based morality system, exploration and sight-seeing, massive battles, and lots of room for actual roleplaying, even on the evil side.

Much easier said than done.

I don't know, Star Wars Battlefield 3 is looking pretty good right now so I don't think I can even use it as an example.

How about a finishing sequel to the KotOR series? Something I would definitely preorder the first day I heard of it, even if they just put a different cover on a Duke Nukem Forever disc.
But yes, expanding upon Red Dead sounds like another absolutely fantastic thing I'd definitely get.

Sounds good. I'd also throw in a few of the mechanics from Payday 2.

This sounds like a plan, it needs the original actors to do the voices (i think they are all alive except peppard?) Hannibal's voice can be done by liam neeson i dont mind. To be honest id be happy with the remake cast if its not possible to get original actors on board

loads of potential for some really wacky over the top missions and like you said if it had payday 2 style planning mechanics and GTA V character switching then it could be amazing. hopefully if GTA V pulls it off well the character switching thing could catch on and games like this could become a reality (perhaps not a licensed A-team game but something along those lines)

Another Red Dead Redemption game is always a plus I found this game an enjoyable surprise even though I'm not into westerns. Them doing another quality open world game I'd be all for it. I'd also be even more for it if they decided to follow a female round in her case maybe having a double life when needed like if they did the civil war she'd enlist as a man and have to pull off the ruse. There were several well documented women of the era who made captain, lead charges, went to prison, and still played their male identities there were even two cases of women who not only fought and lived through the war both decorated very well they also died in retirement homes one was found to be female upon "his" autopsy the other was found out well before hand but the hospital staff kept it a secret so she'd still get her benefits. So many stories to pull from from women who went against their traditional roles it would be very interesting to see what RS came up with.

More horror games I miss the genre and we don't have many psychological horror games in todays markets for the consoles. I don't care if its M or F lead they just need actually horror based less shooter based gameplay here.

More games that have fem leads that aren't sexulized for shooters both 3rd and 1st person, action, and adventure titles in general. So far I'm only liking beyond two souls this for up coming fem lead games infact I think this is really the only one releasing soon one fem action game compared to how many male lead action titles out there.

A second Remember Me maybe she decides to keep going on tearing apart the neural system in another country because she only downed France's system. They need way more memory remixes this time around.

A fem lead AC on the main consoles not handheld I found a post earlier today that made a great argument why a fem lead in AC is perfect due to the lore of the game itself sighting that not only does the lore support such a character by the fact it tells alternative histories but also the fact that the Templars are said to have rewritten most of it a great example a woman's body found with the men who died at Pickett's charge she was in the battle and the four other women who also died in Gettysburg you go up there and they won't mention these women soldiers (3 union 2 confederates) they're erased save for a few books you can find on them and they're rare. The game also features fem assassins in your group remember AC Rev? Our girl assassin wasn't wearing a burka like the other npcs she was wearing assassin gear which means they already shirk and flick the bird to traditional roles, and how can we forget AC broke its own we don't do girls in non traditional roles by giving us Joan of arc in AC1 you know the girl who posed as a man's body double and you almost killed her yeah she just shattered their whole we can't make girls work in male centered history.

So far I keep listing games or genres where I want to see more fem leads and I'm trying to come up with some where I want to see more 30 something brown/black haired men in them....(thinking)....(thinking)....Nope not coming up with anything there. I guess when you asked games I'd like to see in the future I'm looking for new and innovative games where the developers will have to try harder to make compelling (and look wise varied) characters instead of factory cookie cutter no persona leads.

EDIT: Yeah! I finally thought of one! A male role I'd like to see specifically another Deus Ex with Adam yeah I know he dies at the end but I got the rebreather lungs so I should be good to you know swim out of there and get onto some scrap as a make shift life raft can't say the same for all the other guys trapped on the station but I'm fine! So a second one with him please but they do need to give him character development alot he's suffering from a case of brick syndrome otherwise.

And I'm Alive it ended to abruptly I'm not sure if they can bring back the male hero here but due to how you don't know what happened it could almost be reasoned he got mugged and his stuff stolen. We could also take it up from his family members in their hideout but either way a sequel is a must for this game.

I need Sega vs. Capcom.

I need to see ham-to-ham combat between Dr. Wily and Dr. Eggman, or the diabolical schemes that Wesker and Rokkaku Geiji would come up with. I need to see a battle between ultimate life forms Shadow and Akuma. I need to see a contest between Spencer and Knuckles to see who is stronger. I need to see Dante and Bayonetta exchanging snarky, yet flirty remarks while slaughtering angels and demons. And I need the heroes Sonic, Ryu, Mega Man and Vyse to get everybody to team up and fight a greater threat.

Specifically, I would love for it two pretty much be a two character team (similar to that of MvC1) in the vein of UMVC3. Announce this game, Sega/Capcom, and you will have your first preorder.

Do it now, Nintendo, and ye shall have another Wii U sale. Although all the other Wii U announcements are doing enough to convince me, right now.

Basically I'd love to see a modern update of this, with an explorable 3D world and third person camera. The combat would use Metal Gear Rising's cutting mechanics with altered controls to make it less awkward to move and aim your blade at the same time. Basically every fight could become a single-stroke-battle, even against you. When you die, you just start controlling your next of kin.

I suppose that, in a sense, what I want is something like a Samurai-themed Mount and Blade, with more politics and a 'cut at will!' combat system.

Something huge though...like a Pokemon game that takes you throughout the entire Pokemon world or maybe even something that's just plain open world.

An action RPG in the vain of Kingdom Hearts in that characters level up etc (exp, ap, items, etc) but...I was going to put in a specific type but I want this to be the norm. I would have liked Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story etc if they were more like Kingdom Hearts. I'm excited about Final Fantasy XV because it takes place in a modern setting with Kingdom Hearts style game play...right now...so Kingdom Hearts style RPG in a modern-day setting.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3

DC Comics Ultimate Alliance (or rather, Justice League Heroes 2)

Mario and Sonic's All*Star Racing

...can't think of any more at the moment.

I gushed about Psychonauts 2 in the last thread, sooo more Beyond Good and Evil.

There's a serious lack of games that let me take pictures of whales in space.

More horror games I miss the genre and we don't have many psychological horror games in todays markets for the consoles. I don't care if its M or F lead they just need actually horror based less shooter based gameplay here.

I'd love to see a spiritual successor to something like Silent Hill. A fresh IP that can bring back the atmospheric narrative and terrifying mind-screws without having to create certain expectations in attaching itself to an older franchise.

I don't care if it is MGR2 another series with it or a new IP.

That kind of feature is too good for just one game.

I'd love a game with Elder Scrolls style magic and combat but where you play as a soldier in an army. You could play as a squad mage with choices of what kind of magic to specialize in (healing, destruction etc...). As the game progresses you work your way up the ranks and eventually become embroiled in the politics and moral dilemmas of the war. Hell it could even have a co op mode with different roles for each player. I've thought about this idea a lot, heavily inspired by the civil war story in Skyrim as I thought that was pretty poor and wondered how it could have been better.

Brink 2. Brink definitely could use refinement, but it did a few things right.
1: Job specefic objectives. You're not a one person army able to do it all at the same time. You gotta change jobs now and then if yuou want something done right.
2: Bots. I love bots. Dumb bots, smart bots, whatever. 'z good for private co-op games with a few friends.

I just hope if thre's a brink 2, they decide to have women instead of what, 16 quadrillion guy options?

A catwoman game based off the comics. I played as her in Arkham City and my itch was not scratched. I want to be the cunning cat burglar breaking through defenses to get the prize. Maybe there can be a morality system depending on who she steal from, and how much she helps out bats.
There could be a Gotham City Sirens tie-in, and dealings with other gothamites. The bat family, assorted villains, etc.
Maybe Holly Robinson could be in there. Maybe some character options, but primarily revolving around Cat Burglary.
I wamnna play the villainess/anti-villain/anti-hero hording wealth, and being cunning.

Bushido Blade 3: A more realistic dueling game? Yeah, I think that could be appreciated.

A new Tenchu game combining the character customization of Tenchu Z with the older Tenchu games that had multiple enemy layouts.

Maybe a refined Colony Wars styled game with some space station/mother ship interaction with people.

I wanna see some western dating sims from male and/or female perspective. Some of each perspective, I hope.

That's about all I can think of.

I know no one but me played it but mortal kombat: shaolin monks is hands down the best beat-em up I've ever laid hands on. what i'd love to see is either a sequel with a lot more characters or more of a spiritual successor. an open world beat-em up with the fatality system from SM and online co-op.

though to sugest something more likely. i'd love to see at least one more darksiders game, idealy three so they can flesh out the other 2 two horsemen. but i'll settle for one. where you play co-op and select one of the horsemen tmnt style. then just get to rampage across heaven, hell, and take it to the charred council. I loved the first two darksiders and the story is really cool. if you didn't play through to the end of darksiders 1 you have no idea what you're missing. i'd settle for one more game with just death & war online co-op.
