Dragon Age 2 is the most recent, Alpha Protocol before that.

But as the saying goes..."Forgive but don't forget." I still love the stories told...but if the gameplay and the polish doesn't come through with the next releases from either specific internal studio, I'm probably not gonna bother with the next game in the series, unless the dev teams go through significant changes that'd suggest a different set of people will take a crack at it.

Mirror's Edge. It was new and different, although it was kind of hard to figure out what you could actually grab when you were jumping and wall-running everywhere. And I didn't like how the between level cutscenes were for some reason a cartoon instead of the great 3-D ones they use a few times during the actual levels. But I still liked it, despite it being hard. I plan on going back to it again sometime, after I finish the other games I have at the current moment

The Dynasty Warriors series.

Yeah it may be a bit repetitive, but I love it to death, well at least the PS2 era, the next-gen era isn't going too well.
I've spent so many hours playing Dynasty Warriors 3 over the years it's not funny. Sooooo many hours grinding so my warriors would be awesome so I could complete the story with each one and unlock their Final weapons. So much button mashing...awful dialog... and LU BU!!!!!!!!!!

Dynasty Warriors 3 voice acting was so bad it's good, the voices just made you laugh and added to the enjoyment of the game, at least for me it did. The voices in DW4 and 5 were a major improvement.

Too late, I already have. Seriously, the story FINALLY starts to take a turn into the morally grey dimensions, as was promised for the series by Bioware long ago from the start, and people decide to berate them for that and lump its quality together with the legitimate faults of polish and gameplay? Screw that. By that rationale everything Obsidian has ever written is equally shit, because their level of polish has always been even worse than DA2's and I happen to love their stories just as much as those of Bioware. But oh no - they've got the 'outsider scrappy dog' reputation among fans by now so, that doesn't count for them, amirite? *sigh* Double standards...gotta love 'em.

Granted, the choices from Origins certainly could've carried over better...but as for the events during DA2, they were awesome. I just wish Bioware didn't rush the damn thing on a 1 year release schedule after announcement. Then maybe I could've avoided all the hyperbole spouted off by people who can't judge games by their seperate issues.

My big two are Dragon Age 2 and Star Wars Rebellion. There were some unique aspects to DA2 that I wish we'd see more of. Including the fact that your party members aren't just slaves. Aveline telling me off for taking her dead husband's shield was one of my favorite moments in gaming, simply because you NEVER see that in RPGs. Sure, the repetitive maps got old quickly and the constantly swarming fights were annoying, but the story was fun and, in some ways, unique.

Rebellion was a rather forgettable strategy game, but the first one I ever found for Star Wars, and I poured more hours into it than were probably needed. The reviews weren't good, but there wasn't anything particularly bad about it. Just generic. But I love Star Wars, so I could forgive generic if it meant parking a Death Star on top of Corellia while Darth Vader discovers that Admiral Daala is Force Sensitive and trains her to be a dark Jedi. ^_^

You enjoy running into THE SAME DAMN CAVE EVERYTIME YOU NEED TO DO A QUEST, then that's upto you. If you want story, just read the awesome Dragon Age books.
Well done. Completely missed the point of difference between polish/gameplay and story.

Loved the feel of Mirrors Edge - really did have the experience of doing something different. Those cut scenes were really strange though and the story didn't feel like it carried though. But the rush of getting the movement right, the sense of speed and (somewhat limited) freedom was great.

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.
I love the game, but I'm a sucker for fun railshooters and bad dialogue. Not to mention Wesker's characterisation in this made more sense then in most of the games.
Darkside Chronicles sucked, though.

KotOR2 is still my favorite Bioware game in spite of its many flaws.

So...that.
It's an Obsidian game.

On that note, pretty much every Obsidian game I've ever played (Haven't played Alpha Protocol). Sure they are buggy as all hell, and need some console command tweaking every once in awhile, but I love the writing in the games, and they do give a great amount of choice in their games.
Yes, pretty much this, every Obsidian game, and also every Troika game (even Temple of Elemental Evil).

Fable games. I just can't find it in myself to hold any of their flaws against them.
What flaws? *Brandishes pruning saw*

OT: Oblivion, despite the fact that it crashes, it lags, it kind of smell funny, and most recently it expects me to write it's registry keys for it, I still love that game.

Deadly Premonition - awful controls, outdated graphics, terrible reviews, but heck - it was my 2010 GOTY.

ARMA II as well I suppose, at times it would run like a slide show on my above-average rig, but the insane multiplayer moments I've had on it cancel out all the negatives.
