Games you've ALMOST finished but never will?

I don't know if you experienced it.

I bought Prey for the cheap a few months ago and played regulary through the (rather short) Story. Now, i was almost finished, halfway into the final boss battle, when the game crashed.
Since then, i never touched it again. Although it would take me roughly 5-15 minutes to finish it probably, i have not the motivation to do so.

Similar thing with Ace Combat 6. Almost done, but no motivation to finish the game. Not that the game was bad or anything, but i feel like i'm "done" with it.


Do you have any games that will forever remain unfinished at 90 to 99 percent?

I WANT to finish it, I'm on the arena were you need the Gladius to move on, but it's bastard nails. AND I lost my save file sos have to strart again. One of my top 5 games but one heckova slog.

I have plenty of games that I've enjoyed but gotten to a point where I just cannot be bothered any more. Like you say just get to a point where there's nothing wrong per se, just 'done' with them.

Can't bring myself to get rid of them, though.

The darkness, Okage shadow king. I'm trying to finish Assassins creed 100%. I need 5 damascus flags and 33 jerusalem flags and the achievement where you talk to lucy. I want to do it, I just won't find the time right now.

Spiderman 3, played it all fine, got to the kingpin boss battle which is very hard lost like 6 times finally did it (on hard) and the game froze, played again beat him again and the game froze. Gave up after that, its a shame cause i wanna see what the ending is like

The Star Wars Empire Strikes Back game on N64, got to the second last level and I couldn't beat the stupid boss! I still want to know whats on the last level.

Got myself Brawl but I find it too boring to do all the that crappy adventure stuff alone. So I just cheated to get all the characters so we got more characters too choose when I have mates over.

The last mission on Mercenaries. I'd killed everyone in the base, and just threw a flashbang at the Ace of Spades and was about to cuff his ass, then the game crashed. I haven't bothered to do it again because a) the last mission is stupidly long, and b) I watched my brother do it and there's no cutscene or anything after you get him.

abe's odysee... lost the disc. got a new one off amazon.. then that crashed. never felt like doin it again. even with roms i jus dont have the damned patience now.

I got pissed off with Black, played it on hard until the final fight at the end where you have to kill hundreds of people. Got down to 1 person after about 15 tries and he got a cheap shot off at me and killed me. Can't be bothered to go back.

The first Rainbow 6 Vegas. I know i'm near the end but it's hard and I can't be bothered.

GTA 4, for some reason it's stopped giving me missions and I've played it for over ten hours since then, I really don't want to start it again...

I do tend to give up on games when they stop being fun. It takes a pretty special game for me to perservere. God of War did it because it was just spectacular but if I've tried a level so many times and it just seems pointless then I figure I could spend far more productive ways to waste my time.

Mario for the NES. I remember getting to the final boss a hundred times but in the end it got so frustrating I just froze like one of those fainting goats.

Well, never say never! I fully intend to complete these games, it's just going to take me a hell of a long time.

Rainbow Six: Vegas. Over half way, just don't care enough to play it again....

GTA:IV. Just had Roman's wedding, but it seems like I can only do a couple of missions a month, might finish it next month, maybe.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Dunno why, love this game and the recent addition of the trophies had me playing from the start again. Then I just stop, no idea why. Must get back to it.

Braid. I'm one of of the later worlds, one of the really fiddly ones, just don't seem to have the patience to do it. Will get around to doing it eventually.

ES4 Oblivion. I finished all the faction quests and finally decided to get around to saving the world and my disc is ureadable past the allies of bruma quest. pretty much killed my interest in the game.

That's cool we have a variety of games here. I'd have to say Blade of Darkness - got to level 28 or something madening, trying to kill this huge beast with a key.

for the most part i get extremely close to the end of games i like and not finish (Assassin's creed, alone in the dark, condemned, dungeon seige, FEAR, MW3, Rune and also SOTC) just about every strategy game too.

Kingdom Hearts II, I know that you get to see a special ending if you complete the game 100% before the last boss battle, and so I did that, and then I just sorta lost the will to play it anymore after that. So I just have one final boss battle to do, and I just haven't done it. I wanted to finish it awhile ago but I lost my disk.

Tales of Phantasia. I was playing the GBA re-release, and I was liking it, but then I dropped my DS, and it broke. Well, I was annoyed for a few days, so I didn't play it, and just never got around to playing it again. I actually still have a GBS:SP, so I could have played it, but I just never did.
