Saints Row 2. There is a reason I don't normally play console games or their respective PC port. I typically can't stand the play controls of console 3rd person games and their ilk and this game, while fun in a foul mouth kill everything that moves and steal their jet ski kind of way, is not really that different. I did eventually get used to the play controls until about the time the game wanted me to drive a car from one place to another for the 11th time. I felt like I was piloting a camel on rocket propelled roller skates down city streets that were poorly laid out and far too short which often led me constantly riding the brake or careening out of control killing somebody's friend which prompted everyone in the vicinity to begin shooting at me for my piss poor driving skills.

Alpha Prime. I think I should pay more attention to meta-critic scores (59) instead of $2.50 price tags.

More than I'd like. Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, and Pokemon Red out of boredom. I've quit others out of different reasons. Prince of Persia: SoT due to being stuck, Paper Mario due to not owning it, Fallout 3 due to a bug that crashes the game every time I fasttravel, KotOR because my PC is in a state of fail, and many others. I plan to eventually finish most of those, but just can't.

Fallout 3 after I completed it.

Oblivion after I accidentally deleted my level 26 who was outside the Great Gate with almost every Daedric Artifact and had various other accomplishments. I just don't have the heart to remake him and slog through all that again.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
That f***ing water temple 8(
I guess I just don't have the brain capacity required for that game.

For me, games have a 'goal' that one is supposed to reach, and after that It's just exploring the programming and seeing how many extra goodies are snuck in.

Abandoning a game before this point is unthinkable; it would mean the game has defeated me, that I've LOST, that I am out of quarters at the arcade. Not a pleasant prospect.

After that, it doesn't really matter. I've already won, so it's time to move on.

Here are a few of my 'goals':

Modern Warfare 2 Single Player: Beat Single Player on Veteran difficulty
Mass Effect 2: Earn 'No One Left Behind' achievement
Bioshock 2: Beat Single Player on Hard difficulty
World Of Warcraft: ??? (that's what makes it so successful)
Battlefield 2142: Commander Rank
COD Multiplayer: Max Rank (no prestiege)
Psychonauts: 100% (I REALLY liked this game)
Supreme Commander 2: Beat my brother in multiplayer (still working on this one)

I'd list them but then I'd get very depressed at my lack of commitment.

That reminds me, I really SHOULD get back to trying to beat Shadow of the Colossus.

Hmm. Eternal Sonata to be honest. I didn't feel the drive to push forward despite the fact that I absolutely LOVED! the scenery and music. I do want to go back though...

Also Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I played to a certain degree and then just...I dunno gave up I guess. Got kinda bored of it. Though I hate having a game that I like to any degree sitting on a shelf unfinished so I'll have to go back to it.

Mmm.. well, I'll just give some highlights since there's a lot of them

Grand Theft Auto 4, I tell myself I'll get back to it, but that was over 6 months ago and I'm starting to doubt it, I just hate controlling it

Sonic the Hedgehog(360), I think it's still loading.....

Resident Evil 5, not sure what I hate about this, I loved 4 but I've had 2 restarts on this and I just find myself getting aggravated by it.

Final Fantasy 7, X, 7 had me stuck with no place to go, X was just dull so to hell with them

Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Don't hate it, but you can only fight the computer so many times and random online don't feel any better.

Fable, Dragon Warrior 8, Ruff Trigger, Doom 3: Don't recall hating these, I just can't seem to get back on my radar, would like too as well

Well, I have a ton that fall into that category, but what can you do... there's only so much time for things.

Oblivion, Fallout 3, Two Worlds (I tried to play it through 6 times but every time I want to kill myself so I stop) and recently ME2. Although I played it through in a few days on my first go and started a second it all felt the same so I stopped. I will come back to it later when it will feels a bit more fresh in my mind.

For me it would have to be inFamous because there's something about losing all your trophies that makes you hate something, especially if you lose over 60%

Fallout 3 DLC(finished the game, but there wasnt a lot to keep me going and pass all the DLC missions)

Oblivion, never passed it I started getting too sidetracked with all of the sidequests and I lost total track of what was going on in tha main storyline, still by the time I stopped playing it I sunk around more than 50hrs into the game.
Some of the DLC was lacking in Fallout3, agree there, I didn't go for Zeta, too many bad reviews nor Anchorage. I got the others though and unlike many others, I liked Point Lookout.

As for Oblivion, 50 hours is nothing. If you run through the main quest line and all the guilds you are likely to be at 200+ and if you add all the other mini-quests it can top 400 easy. And yea I know you can power through the main quest in a VERY short time but why would you. I finished Oblivion with 1250 of 1250 achivos (XB360) in about 275 hrs and probably have 350+ doing wrap-up quests. I also have the PC version and enjoy playing mods with it.

Final Fantasy XII - Just put it down one day and there it remains.
Modern Warfare 2 - Got Bored.
Fable 2 - Granted I 'completed' the story and lost interest
Dark Chronicles - As Fable, main story done, good bye.
Beyond Good and Evil - Love the game but stopped while save pig face.
Suikoden IV - Could not bring myself to actually start the end dungeon bit.
Valkyrie Profile 2 - Beat the first big monster in the first dungeon, the end.
Star Ocean, the new one. - Got bored
Grand Theft Auto IV - Bored of wonky shoot mechanics and cousin fatass.
Liberty City Stories - No idea just eh.

Basically, a lot. Even more are non-starters.

Most recently, Mass Effect 2.

Got to the planet where light hurts, just stopped playing. I'm not dying or anything. I just stopped playing is all. Literally at the spawn point for arrival on the planet.

Before that: Final Fantasy 1-12.

I like 'em.

But once I get the airship, I get all sidetracked and shit...
LOL.

I have the same problem in almost all games. Games I have currently stopped for some reason or other (most likely ADHD and game hopping addiction)

RE 5
FF I - X
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Gran Turismo 1 - 3
Kung Fu Panda
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Grand Theft Auto III, IV
Gears of War
Kameo
etc. etc. etc.

As you can see I game hop a lot. Eventually I go back to most but I usually have to start RPGs again as I don't remember what was actually happening.

I have this problem as well. I tend to collect more than play. I have over 100 unopened video games from the last 10 years.
