The first Rayman to playstation 1, everything was going perfectly til you had yo start rescuing every single of those things in the cages, and of course back then I had a dial up modem, so I could never find a guide to find all of them.

Also The great escape to PC, I just could never get into that game. Anyone know if its worth giving it a second chance?

TES IV: oblivion and Fallout 3.
I've never done everything nor found everything because there is just too much to do. But I plan to try and do everything in Oblivion this Christmas.

I'm horrible at finishing games. I end up jackassing around forever and never getting to the final battle.

I think part of it is that I have so much fun playing, I don't want the experience to be over. Plus most endings in video games kind of suck.

I guess the most embarrassing one I didn't finish is the Original Legend of Zelda, especially since I'm such a fanboi of the series.

Generally no matter how bad the game is I tend to always finish them, even if it takes me forever, and even if i have to take a hiatus from playing it. Like I was stuck at 98% on The Lost Vikings for like 3 months straight, gave up, and like 4 months later tried agian and beat it. I honestly beat every single game in my collection, save one. The Lost Vikings 2. Not because it was bad or anything, but I got to like 62% and my brother let (notice how I didn't say I did, he did this without my permission) and he let his friend borrow it, and the friend overrode my save file. Now I was pissed, but the game was fun so I started playing it again, got I think farther than where I was previously, and the game mysteriously vanished during a period where I got frustrated, then I wanted to try it again and it was gone, at that point I was like FUCK IT! and havent played it since. Now that I see this thread I'm gonna go get the ROM for it and try it out.

I never beat the original half-life despite playing thousands of hours worth of half life mods.

Assasins creed (first one) and Kayne and Lynch, both due to "squidgy" controls that didn't gell well (especially in AC's case after I tried to finish it after AC2)

The original Mass Effect, I simply couldn't bring myself to play through that awful game and I seriously can't see what everyone else likes about it.

Socom US Navy Seals (got frustrated with a level, still haven't gotten the urge to play again)

Wing Commander 4 (ps1. Still working on it)

Spyro the Dragon (was pressured into purchasing this game because my littlest sister liked Spyro better then Crash.)

Resident Evil 2. (damn hard)

Earthbound.
I picked this up in 2005, played it on and off for two years, started playing it more around January 2008, after playing non stop all New Years Eve. Got stuck, and picked it up a few months later.
Got further, and made a promise to myself that I would beat this game before Christmas. I didn't. in 2009 I played less, but I still got pretty far.
I made a new promise to myself to beat before Christmas, and I was serious about playing until I beat it, but I got stuck in the Deep Darkness the week before Christmas, and didn't pick up the game again until June of this year.
Well now I'm back, and I WILL beat this game before the end of the year.

That's a promise.

Like the last one.

And the one before that.

Final Fantasy IX. I got so close, I think I only had like the final boss left to beat, but I just lost interest. That has always been a problem for me (or rather a problem with RPGs). I often lose interest and stop enjoying RPGs during the final haul.
