The PS2 Ratchet and Clank games. Over 30 playthroughs on most of them. Granted after a few times it will only consume the afternoon for one playthrough.
This and Tools of Destruction for PS3, R&C are brilliant for replays with the Challenge mode
yeah, pretty much all of the R&C games here, along with final fantasy tactics, Disgaeas 1 and 2, and currently Demon's Souls, I'm on play-through 4, just gotta farm up some bladestones and I'm getting a platinum.

Tweety Pie's around the world in 80 pawprints for the Gameboy advance. I was young, and it was easy.

Also, Time Crisis 2 and 3 and Vampire night. Yay for shooting games that take a half hour to complete!

Hmmm I'm suprised noone mentioned Baldurs Gate 2 - I played it like 5 times and usually I never bother to replay the game. But there at every playthrought I could find something new and that's why it was worth it.

Fallout 2 (personally I think fallout 3 is pretty poor content wise)
Gothic 1 and 2

As for the greatest timesink it would be Guild Wars - almost 5k hours of gameplay.

But really, noone mentioned Baldurs Gate? BG and fallouts are like kings of replayability.

Sonic 2 3, knuckles and 3D, Phantasy Star II for Genesis, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Nemo in Dreamland, Excite Bike, Pong, Kabuki Quantum Fighter for NES (all time favorite). Road Rash - to this day there is no other game that simulates the inertia ripping me off the road quite like this. Comix Zone. Cool Spot. Desert Strike, holy damn Desert Strike. Disney's Aladdin (abbaabba..screw you ya stupid dreary dungeon level) Ecco: Tides of Time, F-15 Strike Eagle (not sure if its 1 or 2, stopped playing but back in the day I'd fight my brother every single day). The fantastic adventures of dizzy, speed runs, over and over, yay emulators. Never liked frogger or golden axe. Gunstar Heroes, pick your version. The Humans (God damn this is a fun game) Lemmings, Lemmings 2, Lemmings christ can we make more games, Lemmings christ can we make more games gold edition, The Lion King not so much, All of the Mortal Kombats except deception. Did not like deception. Most of the old Shinobi games (non 3d), did not like Road Rash II, Rocket Knight Adventures TO THIS VERY DAY, Shadowgate (more speed runs)Streets of Rage 1 and 2, 1 was better, Terminator for Sega CD (it was just better on cd..) Sword of friggen Vermillion. Back in my day you had to kill 50 monsters before you had enough cash for a health potion! And if you were poisoned, it killed you! Sure you've got a respawn point but the respawn point is a crotchety old priest who takes half your money! 40 dollars? 50 million? HALF. Welcome back to the living here's your bill! Vectorman 1, 2, and I think 3, did they make 3? X-Men Clone wars, Zero Wing. Back to the Future. Dragons lair, Jurassic Park (pick your console) Samurai Showdown - a lot, Shingen the Ruler - never could figure it out, Starship Hector. Ghosts n goblins, ghouls n ghosts, either or take your pick. Gradius (oh so many versions) The original Legend of Zelda, a few versions of marbel madness, Micro Machines for DOS, Pacman, Mrs Pacman, one or two of the really old Ninja Gaidens, Rad Racer, Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship. Solstice: The Quest ffor the Staff of Demnos - I WILL beat you before I friggen die! Star Soldier, old as sin, fun as hell, Super Mario Bros 1 2 and 3, Doom II, Diablo 1 and II, Starcraft, Starcraft Broodwar, the chess game that came standard with windows, ski, Raiden, Demon Sword, And most of all; The Guardian Legend.

Cuz you know...I was born more than 5 years ago.

Most of these games were so damned good I actually skipped a few console generations because I couldn't get bored of them or some of them were just unbeatable to me. By the time I was done with Sega CD, my next console was a PS1. In which case the list gets considerably shorter from that console and up to an Einhander demo cd I got in a magazine, Final Fantasy 8, Resident Evil 2, RE4, Call of duty 4, Left 4 Dead, and Castlevania Symphony of the Night.

Thank God for emulators.

I know I've beaten MGS4 over 8 times.
Is that all? I must have lost count of how many times I played that. I would guess about 10-20
Shadow of the colossus I must have completed about 20 times. No I am not kidding. I used to go round to a house with a play station 2 every weekend and play the same three games over and over. Shadow of the collosus, Mgs 3 and resident evil 4. I would play them over and over again. For about three years.

Championship Manager 00/01
Football Manager 05
Football Manager 08
Baldur's Gate + Baldur's Gate II + expansion packs and mods
All PS/PS2/PS3 Metal Gear Solid games
Shogun: Total War (which is, in my honest opinion, the best 'Total War' game)

Super Metroid.

Again, and again, and again......

Also quite good for speedruns. A game that allows the player to speedrun well is indicative of good design imo

Portal, obviously. Somehow never gets old, probably at least in part to GLaDOS. Does guitar hero count? :p number 3, world tour and especially Metallica. Elder scrolls 3 : Morrowind. Now that is because I'm on my sixth (?) restart, cause of viruses, inconvenience, once on purpose and just vista being vista. Advance Wars DS. Lastly, I think, The Incredible Hulk : Ultimate Destruction. Always fun. Also, Black And White. And Fable.

For me its fable 2. I guess I enjoy all the possible outcomes in the story and your characters apearence as well, and I suppose its amusing to finish the game as a lean pasafist, then play it again as a grotesque benevolent sex ofender just for kicks. And somehow I never get tired of that.

Shadowrun for the Sega Genesis. If ANY game has ever deserved an update its Shadowrun. And I mean a REAL update, not that piece of crap they released as an online fps.
