A win for the consumer would be to have the opportunity to save $10 by not buying the online pass.
We kinda have that solution already. So you buy first hand, and instead of registering your code you sell it off to anyone who has a second hand copy. Making your $10 back.
Boom, you have now bought your copy $10 cheaper.
That's true but Gamestop could also offer it without the online pass making it easier. In the end, breaking games into pieces and then pricing those pieces is only going to hurt the publishers.

Lol? You should think it through first. A used product is inferior because it got used. Not because someone went and tried to make it worse for anyone except the original buyer. It's more along the lines of removing the paint etc on a car. It's absurd to compare actively making it worse to not repairing a vehicle.
Fine let's put it in practical terms. I'm about to pay $60 for the game. Why do you feel you deserve just as much product as me for paying a fraction of the cost?

I bought the 3 Tomb Raider games that Steam has on sale for 66% off. For all 3 games I paid $15.27. Now, some people paid well over $100 for all three games when they were new so should Steam cut out parts of the games because I paid less for them?

Considering Destructiod has a review of Arkham City up, yes.

And that is what you call retaliation! Can't wait to see what Rocksteady's response is.

I'll put this in terms I hope you can understand: I never said anything about that, I pointed out how ridiculous your analogy was.
So you completely agree, you just love spending time and effort nitpicking analogies?

They aren't new, the value depreciated, and they were on sale. This is a new game, and you can buy the whole thing at a depreciated value later.

This is quite a decent move for Gamestop.

Unluckily for me,there isn't any Gamestop shop in our country at all so that thing sucks a bit.

Also the PC gamers that want to play this game get's screwed as well with the delays on the PC version, which I find very lame.

I thought your point was that "you pay less, you get less".

GIVES?? You mean you paid nothing for it? Why, it should explode in your hands you freeloader! You shouldn't even be able to look at the game at your friends house without sending a check to the poor devs!

No I think it should crash and erase your xbox as a dirty thief. Look, I can think of wildly exaggerated scenarios too. But yes, you also shouldn't be able to play your friend's Catwoman either.

Yes, you pay less, you get less, right now. Later, you'll pay less and get the same. I thought that part was pretty straight-forward.

Someone on that side of the debate considers it one-sided. *shocked* I'm seeing seeing wild exaggerations and selective, self-serving vindication from this side.

BTW please forgive spelling error its phone

Buying used doesn't save you much if you buy from Gamestop, only $5 if you don't have the Edge card. Since the cut content is worth $10, shouldn't used buyers get half of the cut content?

It really isn't about how much you pay is it?

We've clearly reached the root of opinions in this with no give either way, and I've got Rage to play.
Incidentally I just noticed your avatar and it's awesome.
