In all seriousness, the more the better, right? We grow from communication.

The users of the Escapist are properly referred to as 'Pists. We get good and pissed about stuff. When the ME3 ending happened, we were 'Pist.Major_Tom said:Also, did you just call us 'Pists? That sounds like a weird skin condition. "Mom, I'm having the pists again! -Eww. Stay away from me!"
...you know, I have to ask, but if you hold people in contempt... why on EARTH are you here, on a forum, where you regularly have to interact with people?Musou Tensei said:Ultimate snippery

...and to keep with the OP, I came here from 4chan 'cause I got sick of all the bullshit. And then I discovered that 'Games Industry Discussion' Forum here.
[sub]though not going to lie, I like the Channers more than whatever the fuck is going down in that sub-forum. At least a Channer will call you a prick to your face.[/sub]
Yeah, it's still around, though I've never understood the weird reputation people give it. There's a lot of '3edgy5me' people there who think being a dickhead is 'cool', but some of the boards had people who weren't shitheads, who were alright to hang around.Souplex said:*Looks at your join-date*Wrex Brogan said:...Well, I'm from 4Chan, can I still claim refugee status? 4Chan still exists?!
I thought Reddit ate it in 2009 when people realized they could get their funny memetic images in a place that didn't require digital purell for every trip.
Wait, a Nintendo thread that was nice? What is this madness?tf2godz said:Honestly I really like a lot of them and you want to know why? They talk about video games and movies and entertainment and don't yell at you for disagreeing with them, don't straw men you and are pretty friendly and stay far away from the gender politics threads.
There was a thread talking about Nintendo direct and was one the nicest threads I read in awhile. So I welcome the refugees.
Sorry, I should have said Real Life People. The thing is, on the internet I have absolute control over if I want to interact, for me you are all just words, if that makes sense, I decide if and when I listen to you, I decide if and when I talk to you, and if I'm sick of interaction I can leave whenever I want and come back whenever I want.Wrex Brogan said:...Well, I'm from 4Chan, can I still claim refugee status? So.
Yeah.
Totally worth the move.

Like, not having a go at you, it's just I've never, ever understood the whole 'I don't like people or want to make friends, so I'm going to interact with people constantly' thing that people keep doing on the internet. Is it like one of those Arachnophobia things where if you keep handling the thing you don't like you'll get over your dislike and start liking it?
...You know you've force me to make this reference. I didn't want to. You forced my hand.Sassafrass said:Wait, a Nintendo thread that was nice?
