the person i most relate to has gotta be...
the Sargent guy who trains you in shadowrun. because like him, i love blowing things up to!
"You know what that means? I get to blow you up again. I love my job."
One of the most funny lines I have hearded in a game. Must be a fun job.

I think I most relate to, drumroll, my WoW character, if they count.

Prince of Persia in the Sands of Time series.

I was a naïve do-good boy at first, then turned into a complete twat, now I'm a mix of both, basically. Never gotten a girl though (and not expecting that either)

The ship in Geometry Wars. I hate brightly-coloured, neon shapes and live on a large piece of graph paper.

When they start making games with a slightly strong, slightly lanky, slightly emo, slightly intelligent, pessimistic and depressed 15 year old who still plays pokemon because he can't get a girlfriend as characters then maybe I might begin to relate to them.
This,

or gary from bully,or that insane street preacher from gta4 because im an asshole who should be on meds and no matter how many times you shoot me with that ak or beat up my freinds ill always come back.
As for looks id say imagine the prince from Prince of Persia:Warrior Within with a vlack and red striped hoody and converse all stars, bingo! you got me.

Its hard to say, but most of the time I relate by looks.
Maybe Gordon Freeman I guess, Im not a leader, Im sorta guided along but people still see me as the guy that sorta leads and when push comes to shove, I can wade in and handle most stuff that comes my way.

Doogen-the squirrels hate me to

bonus points to name the game
Psychonaughts. That game that nobody but me played before Zero Punctuation. I relate to most JRPG protagonists, because most people see me and just assume I'm emo without even bothering to get to know me.

I do believe he means "Gears of War" old fellow, it's so easy to get those 2 mixed up! I'm somewhere inbetween an angry, cold, used, inbittered Kain from Legacy of Kain (or Arthus they're SO similer) and a super-mega-happy Yuffie from ff when her sugar-train's come in and she's in the middle of an artificial high. Hope that narrows it down for you...

I used to hate Anomen from BG2. On the surface arrogant and vain, but nursing various fears beneath his thin veneer of pretentiousness.

Then I realised that was pretty much a male version of me. Come back, Anomen, I'll take you in my party now!

I'm a bit like a mix between axel steel and izzy sparks from GH in that(like the first guy) I'm a fat guy who plays the guitar like steel and like Iz, I have a penchant for stage showmanship, outrageous appearances, and I love 80's and 90's guitar because those guys can actually play a guitar and solo.

I also can relate to a lot of other characters because most of the time I empathize with them playing as them

Squall.

I guess i am like him just much less awesome and more geeky, I prefer staying alone, care too much about what other people think of me etcetera, hopefully one day a lighthearted girl will come and bring me out of my solitude ^^

I would kill to BE Professor Layton, with his foppish hat and his charming/dignified disposition. What a cheery little academic he is.
