So I have a gaming confession to make; I've never played League of Legends. I know, somehow I've missed playing the next best thing since sex and sliced bread.

I've thought about playing and have watched videos and even watched other people play, but I've never committed myself. Even looked up the different champions to see if there was one I really liked. Its for two main reasons;

1: Its Free-to-play. I HATE FTP.

2: The community. Good lord.
I haven't played it either. FTP is pretty much all I can afford to play, & my attention span is too shit to stick with any MMO long enough for even a month's subscription, but I don't like MOBAs. Everyone I've know who's tried it agrees with the MMO reviewers I watch; It's one of many notorious havens for screaming racist/homophobic/misogynistic 13 year old boys.

Modern Warfare 1's story mode was amazing.

I love the idea of games set in space/space games in general but they almost always bore/annoy me the way they are usually realized.

Well I got bored of Deus Ex after... *opens Steam* 3 hours. Huh. Well there goes the "best PC game ever" I guess.

And dammit, before someone tells me "oh it's good after hour 5! stick wit-" NO! If it's supposed to be so good how could I have dropped it after only 3 hours? Why was I not compelled to play through it in ridiculously long sittings?
I would maintain that Deus Ex is not only the best PC game ever but the best video game ever.
Although, it hasn't aged well, so enjoying it today without a sense of nostalgia is difficult.
You played the PS2 version? It's visuals were updated from the PC version and is much more playable.

OT: I've spent more time acting like a malicious, sadistic psychopath on GTA 4 than I have actually playing the game.
And I'm not just talking the regular, blow stuff up and cause chaos routine. I like to make up back stories for NPC's and then stalk, murder, torture them etc. etc.

I do have a PS2 lying around so I could check it out. I do have a thing against paying for the same game twice on seperate platforms though.

As for baist gaem evar, I know you think it is Deus Ex and you're entitled to your opinion even though it's wrong but the best game slot is reserved for Persona 4 and Persona 4 only. I played it when I was 18 for the very first time so no nostalgia value required :D

Inb4 they ruined it with Golden. I DON'T LIKE CHANGE!

Missing all these years of Nintendo, have not properly owned any of their platforms for years. I had an old 4x AA battery Gameboy when I was a teenager, I also owned a N64 when it was past its prime for a short while when I was broke and bought it cheap (£30) from a friend. Only owned two games for that, Mario 64 and Banjo kazooie. I owned a DSi for about 4 hours too, my Mum came over saw it fell in love with it so I let her have it. Pwned, didn't get too play anything.

Nintendo is a huge blackhole for me, hardly played any of the games so I missed almost all of it. Owned every other console since 2001 but never Nintendos.

I don't care about what people call sexism in video games, and laugh inside when my friends talk about how sexist a game is for having sexualized characters -- like Isabella in DA2, even if it fits her character.
This. It's just a bunch of whining, sure I'll pay it a trinket of attention but otherwise I do not give a shit.

I find most of Valve's games boring, with the exception of the Portal series and Half-Life 1, and maybe DOTA 2.

I don't enjoy most pre-fifth gen games except Final Fantasy, it's not that I hate 2D graphics, but retro gaming just doesn't appeal too much.

I am an unrepentant save-scummer.

And, heresy on the escapist forum: I dislike video game piracy. I don't buy (pun intended) the argument that pirates purchase more. Although I oppose restrictive DRM too, honestly I'm fine with unique CD keys and limited installations. The only time I pirate is when a game, anime, or visual novel is unavailable in my region or on an obsolete console.

2.I play every Tony Hawk game that's released.
3.I hate Final Fantasy games (except Crystal Chronicals and 3/6?)
4.I hate CoD but I somehow eventually play the new installment.
5.Sonic Colors on Wii can beat 90% of 360/PS3 graphics IMO
6.MGS3 is the best in the franchise.
7.I don't consider Halo 4 canon
8.Dota and LoL are extremely overrated and I dislike it a great amount.

My confession is that i like game with female characters with giant boobs . My only complaint is that i'd like a character with a giant booty . Now i don't think that jiggle physics is bad , but it's not necessary , big boobs are enough . I'm going to stop here because i don't want this to turn into a discussion about sexism .

Confession 2 . I haven't played a sandbox game this generation . Except LA Noire but that doesn't count because it wasn't a real sandbox .
ah so YOU'RE the person who makes those high def boobie mods have so many downloads :D

just teasin, ask and you shall receive! i'm sure there are some big booty mods out there.

OT:

confession- I prefer playing with a controller rather than keyboard+mouse (depending on the game, but this is usually my preference)

i like most the mods that i download, as in thousands upon thousands of them (most people say 95% of mods are utter crap)

i couldn't give a rats ass about sexism in video games. Would I like more strong female leads? Yes, absolutely, that'd be awesome. Do I give a shit that the witcher had a sexist mini game? can't tell you how little of fucks I give, i still enjoyed playing the game all the same. Hell it could've had me collecting male cards and I wouldn't have felt any different.

I felt insulted by Bioshock 1.
And Infinite can kiss my ass.

in response to the OT:
I don't even know or care what MOBA means. Stumbling into LoL threads make me feel like I've fallen through the cracks of a parallel universe.
Insulted? How?

OT: These days I read more about gaming than I practice it...
I can put myself into a mindset where, in theory, I find Bioshock's take on the player's authorship over a character interesting. In practice however, the moment you find the first syringe (actually, the moment you pick up the radio) made it very clear to me that I am just about to control (=be) a moronic puppet on a string. From that moment on, I ran out of fucks to give so quickly that before long Bioshock was asking me "Would you kindly... quit and uninstall?" to which I happily obliged. If I had finished the game, the supposedly big revelation wouldn't have been one, instead it would have been no more than a petty excuse for an annoying ride on the bullshit train.

OT: I'm getting lazy. Spoiled, maybe. Or old? Whatever it is, I can't be arsed anymore to put in the effort required to do well in a game like, say, Magicka. Unless a game is a true-to-life simulation of technical bits (flying planes, for instance), I won't learn elaborate control schemes anymore. Just today I read something about ArmAIII, stating that there's hardly a key being unmapped, that it's 8 key presses from being prone to fully standing. Yeah... If you're looking for me, I'll be over here playing something entirely with: ← → ↑ ↓

Oh yeah, I've got one or two.

I've never finished a Mario or Zelda game. Ever. On any platform.

Also I enjoy using console controllers more than keyboard/mouse controls for FPSs.

I've tried a few Final Fantasy games myself but never finished any. Watched Spirits Within though, that was nice.

Finally, I enjoyed Halo 3: ODST and thought it was one of the strongest games in the franchise.

I have a good one. I genuinely don't understand 90% of the gaming references made on this forum and only come here for the pretty colours and moving pictures.

I have never played a Mario game nor do I plan to.

Also I adore Dragon Age II.

I refuse to be ashamed of either of these things.

Same here. I try to play almost every game that comes out, at least for a little bit to see what it's all about, but I too never got into Final Fantasy. It's unfortunate because I rarely meet girls who game, and when I do - and could potentially have something I'm passionate to talk about - they often solely play JRPGs that I've never gotten into.

Another gaming confession: for most of my gaming life, I've always been an item hoarder. I'd max out on health potions, and never spend my in-game currency on new items at shops. I'd even avoid using my health potions, and instead reload saves until I finished the battle without dipping into my stock. It's only recently that I had the epiphany: the games are much funner if you actually use in-game items like you're supposed to.
