I just finished CoD: WaW on Veteran difficulty after a few days of intense joy and anger. It is probably the most frustrating gaming related experience I have gone through in recent memory.

Heart of the Reich made me want to eat my own face.

...
What is the most frustrating gaming endeavour you have ever undertaken and how did you fare?

need for speed carbon on the canyon duels. After many hours of crashing i finally made it, only to realise that there are 100 more.

Also in carbon the extremely hard drift races. I failed many times and gave up.

You thought getting through that game was bad, try playing Mirrors Edge under my circumstances, AKA failure to see runners vision, massive inability for Faith to grab the FUCKING LEDGE and the fact I find this game astonishingly boring.

For me it has to be trying to play super Mario sunshine on a REALLY bad TV, the blur made it impossible to see.

Banjo-Kazooie, Klungo's arcade game, the final mission.

To win, you need to jump, once. If you jump too soon, you don't get another jump. If you jump too late, you die. You need to wait a randomly determined amount of time, then jump. But if you have an LCD TV, you need to hit jump before the designated point in which you jump, due to latency.

Took me ages, in the end I just sat there with controller in hand, hitting the jump button at random points and ended up getting lucky.

Final Fantasy VII, Fighting Ruby weapon. I don't know how many times I retried that fight, before I finally figured out how to beat him.

Or Left 4 Dead on Expert, When the AI decides he's bored, Sends the Horde after you, with a witch in the path; a smoker appears behind the witch, and pulls Louis(it's always Louis) into her. I cry.

Other then that, I don't get to frustrated with games... only other gamers.

Reading repeat thre-- fuck it, it's a lost cause...

Spelunky. The whole damn game. I still haven't beaten it. It's so goddamn frustrating because the developer doesn't seem to get the difference between good and bad difficulty. Moreover, I think I might be the only person who plays indie games in the world who doesn't like to do things over and over and over again.

So every single fucking time I lose at Spelunky, it's never a "damn I shouldn't have done that," because I did nothing wrong. It's always "YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" because the game seems to randomly decide whether you should win or lose that time. Apparently, I should never win. Ever. Not even after I've played five hundred god-fucking times.

But I can't stop playing it, because it's so much fun right up until "YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" Seriously, someone finally decided they would go past dreaming and really make a roguelike+platformer game, which is awesome. Now only if they would realize that not everyone likes being made to look like a retard by things they can't control. (In this case, things they can't control being... Spelunky: Area 3.)

Flying school is GTA:San Andreas was hell for me on the PC. Just impossible so I gave up on the game there. Is there a quick way to get through it or cheat past?

The XBOX & PS2 versions were no easier. I spent way too long trying to do it. Worth it though.

Oh man I remember those. Trying to blow up that stuff in that P.O.S. helicopter. What the hell was that about! It was freaking impossible. Do you remember the one where you have to take off at the airport in a small plane to meet a jet halfway off the map and fly through the rings behind it until you caught up.......man i had to try that like 50 times.

Got many. Don't think I even remember most. A few in recent memory.

- Resident Evil 4: Going through the Castle's gate entrance four time and getting myself or Ashley killed by flaming boulders near the exit.
- Superman Returns. Well, the whole damn game, really, but the Mongul standoff stands out.
- "The Driver" mission in Vice City. What the hell was the idea behind that? In fact, about 70% of any GTA game has missions that can -on occasion- drive you crazy.

Oh, I have, But it's just stupid that, He'll be the furthest away from whatever gets him, and it avoids the easy targets. But then again, my friend was complaining it was Zoey with him, so I guess it' just your luck with your computer/console.

Elite Beat Agents.
After much trial and tribulations, I beat the game on medium, only to unlock the "Sweatin" difficulty, being the glutton for punishment I am, I play through it, and after over 5 months I beat the insanely hard "Jumpin' Jack Flash level." I was ready for joyous praise for being one of the few Godly Humans who can defeat the game on "Sweatin" mode, instead I am told there is an even harder difficulty, one no Human can beat, I nearly cried.

Lol. You weren't missing much. I stopped doing story line missions in that game after a while. I maxed out my Bike skill (incidentally I wish they still had the "Skill" thing in GTA IV) and just cruised aroudn with my own music playing on the radio doing mad air tricks. Made the game freaking amazing.
