There are good games and bad ones but regardless there are always games with certain levels that make you want to scream. For me it was the Mile High Club on COD 4, one minute to defuse a hostage situation that not only was irrelevant to the plot line but neigh impossible to commit.

Are there any other levels in any game that made you mad?
I dont understand why everyone says that level is so hard.. I did it on my 2nd try o_O

OT: Most of the last half of Prototype.. god dammit thats a frustrating game.
I don't know. I just had a nightmare on that level in COD. I think my big hands got in the way.

Then again Prototype wasn't that bad for me. Sure I had issues with the targeting tanks and the stray hook going towards the nearest chopper but it wasn't a total frustration...for me at least. I just adapted to make the best of a bad situation.

The Cortana level in Halo 3, and the Star Destroyer level in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The former was brutal; the latter was impossible.

IMPOSSIBLE.

The damn dam in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES.

Or the speeder bike thing in Battletoads on the NES.
It took my cousin months just to learn to pass the second level of Battletoads. Same for myself and those damn electric seaweeds in Turtles.

CoD4, the level Shock and Awe on veteran, I just cleared the building after you get out of the heli for the first time. That one section was harder than the rest of the game up to that point. When I finally got through it, I realize I had a cheat active and didn't get the achievement. How I managed to not kill the closest living thing is still a mystery to me.

The Monkey Cave in Earthbound.

That has to be the most pointless, frustrating, and stupid level I have ever played in a game.
Just go in with the appropriate loot and it's quick. Now, the damn underground base full of Starmen can fuck right off. That was annoying.
I know it can be quick, but the fact that it's utterly pointless annoys me so much. The only enemies on that level are weak but can fuck you up with annoying status conditions. Every area looks the same so you can get lost. Plus annoying music plays the whole damn time you are in the cave. And all for what? Teleport? I could have just climbed in the whole and talked to the guy and gotten teleport instantly. Instead, I have to go on a stupid scavneger hunt.

Oh, and let's not forget that there was a pencil statue right at the end of the cave. This leads me to believe that the developers really did make that level just to piss people off.

The final gauntlet of the Temple of Pandora in God of War. Even on the easier difficulties that room was ridiculous. On God Mode it's a fucking brick wall.

The RC Helicopter bomber mission in San Andreas where you have to kill all the couriers. That mission filled me and several of my family members who also attempted this level with rage and tears.

There's a lot to chose from over the years I've been gaming. But I'll list the ones that made me want to rip a piece of skin off my body:

1: Chakan: The Legendary Man (Genesis). You only have one chance to kill the final boss, and if you failed, then it was game over.

2: Call of Duty: World at War. Playing Heart of the Reich on veteran is impossible. If the ultra-accurate AI didn't kill you if you even so much as stuck a pixel out of cover (oh, they know if you peek from cover, even if their back is turned), then the cloud over your head that showers grenades with 1-second fuses will do the trick. Even worse, the enemies don't stop respawning, as if there's an army of clones making another army of clones that only carry a sack of grenades and bullets that only seem to target the player.

3: Call of Duty 4. No Fighting in the War Room. I hate timed missions, and to make matters worse, any intersection I came across had at least two insanely accurate soldiers on all sides, to ensure buttrape if you go too fast or slow. Oh, and enemies respawned until you got past a certain area.

4. Bullet Witch... on Hell difficulty. Insane accuracy, speed, defense, and power, all rolled up in an army of zombie soldiers on [insert choice of pain-reducing narcotic].

5. Crash Bandicoot 1. I could not, for the life of me, get past the Road to Nowhere. Oh, and I hated Ripper Roo.

6. Halo 3. I hated most of Legendary mode, but with enough persistence, I got through it. Oh, I hated the type of Flood that could scale walls and turn into sentry guns, then something that resembles a spider, then something that could kill in a single hit.

First few attempts at defence missions in Dawn of War 2 on hardest difficulty... THEY JUST WONT **** DIE!!! Later it gets easy but first 3 or 4 are just hell...

Oh and few first hours of any German RPG. It is just so hard to normally start them (if you have never played it before that is). Later they become easy but the first hour or 2 is just die - quick load - die - quick load - play & forget about quicksave - die - get utterly pissed when you remember you forgot to quicksave.

Oh and and Left 4 Dead with a bad team on hardest difficulty... darn that was REALLY annoying.
